For those who aren't aware, we are currently building two cars for the Ford Fiesta ST Championship to be driven by myself and John Findlay.
We will be racing with the Fiesta Zetecs and Si series (as Class C) and we know there will be around 7-8 STs out by the end of the season. The intention is for the series to eventually move towards the STs but this season will be much of a developement season.
Here are the race dates for anyone who can make it along to support us: -
Rounds 1 & 2 14/15 April Silverstone (no car!) Rounds 3 & 4 26/27 May Anglesey (hopefully!) Round 5 30 June Oulton Park Rounds 6 & 7 14/15 July Lydden Hill Rounds 8 & 9 28/29 July Croix en Termois (France) Show 5 Aug Ford Fair @ Silverstone Rounds 10 & 11 18/19 Aug Rockingham (RSOC Day) Rounds 12 & 13 1/2 Sep Brands Hatch Rounds 14 & 15 20/21 Oct Brands Hatch (Ford Festival)
Cheers, Nick.

I'd love to have a shot of the race prepped ST! I know how good handling a car the Fiesta is, drive the ST's wee brother everyday, the Zetec S.

I had a good sniff around both yours and John's last weekend. Looks like the guys are making steady progress... The roll cages have been welded up beautifully... I think that was Willy's handywork..
That wiring loom is astonishing though... Never seen so many connectors before in my life... A lot will be redundant now though so I think I'd be tempted to get in there with a pair of wire cutters... ;D
The ST is certainly larger physically than the good old XR2 but with all that extra horsepower it should be a much more challenging drive.. Nice also to have an ECU that stops you bending valves every time you miss a gear...
Do they have ABS? I meant to look but ran out of time..

How are both the cages being made Willy? Do they come as a big jigsaw puzzle that you weld in the car or are you guys making up the pipes, bending them etc...?
