Hi all, just got round to having a look in here, wondered where youd all gone. Had a good time this year, learnt a lot, looking forward to a full seasons racing next year, cars need some work b4 then. Last meeting was a good one, getting into the swing of things now. Oh it's great having an old timer about that remembers when you didnt have to do an ARDS test ;D

Good to see you've found us If you talk to Ian or Derek, or anyone else, can you tell them where we've gone, too? We're keeping things moving pretty well for so few of us, but the more then merrier! Are you and Ian looking at running two cars for all of next season, then? Hope so - it'll be good to have you both out on track every time

yes we're running both cars. At the start of the last qualifying thought it not such a good idea as I came round the first corner to see Ian sliding down hill sideways, took evasive action (e.g. panicked) and followed suit, formation spin from Moon River Racing!

Good to see you've joined us Neil...
Have you decided whether you're going to re-spray the cars the same for next season yet in a "Moon Racing" livery?

Hopefully there will be a similar scheme, whether a full respray is in order, not sure think money could be best spent on mechanics than looks. If we were we would probably just do the new car to look like red/white one. With some signwriting.

You can guarantee that if you spend a load of cash on making your car look the business then there will be a big accident around the corner.
That happeneed to Derek McMillan a few years ago - he had his XR sprayed in black with a silver colour scheme and it was by far the best looking car on the grid.
He then proceded to roll it around 6-7 times down duffus dip. Absolutely destroyed the car but was fortunately OK.
The only thing that was left was the roll cage - a bit of an extreme way to test it though!

Thats just what was going through my mind. It was all right this year running at the back of field...... nice quite drive in the countryside...... but as we neared end of season racing was getting closer. It seems back and front of race damage free-ish. Middle of pack/grid oh be veeeeeeeeery careful.

That may be true but if you are near the front and you spin etc, you've got another 20 odd cars tearing down on you! I seem to get more nervous the closer to the front of grid I am - Imagine when I was 3rd!

Lol, sounds like me in online racing, whenever anyone comes anywhere near me! Lost count of the number of times I've hit the wall trying to get out of the way of the leaders.... Glad you both got through that ok, anyway - hadn't heard about that one till now!

Don't suppose you'd want a ScottishClubRacing.co.uk sticker, would you?

Lol! One minor problem with that... no money! Have to rely on people carrying the stickers out of kindness to the site, cos we can't pay anyone to do it!

To kick things off then, why not create one of those "sticky thread" thingys and get people to commit to carrying a decal by responding to the thread?
