Hoping to get to the away round this year. Looking on the Cad Park website they have testing on Fri 4th but at £199 for full day or £125 for a half-day. Seems a bit steep (the price, not the circuit) - any chance we can negotiate an SMRC discount? ;D

Just on the Cadwell topic, we currently have 1 Fiesta ST available for hire for this round - John Findlay won't be able to make this meeting (the other NSR cars are already hired out) Contact me if interested. Cheers, Nick www.nicksandersonracing.com

Who from the XR2 fraternity is heading down then I'm about 90% sure I'm going, but I just have to make sure the finances can stretch (still repairing the car after Sunday). I've just received the entry form from BRSCC and if anyone needs a copy emailed to them, just drop me a p.m. and I'll sort it. I had my Westfield at Cadwell Park last year for a track day, and if you like Knockhill, you will absolutely love the circuit! It's very narrow in places and quite technical, but it's probably the most enjoyable circuit I've ever driven Here's hoping I'll make it, and hope to see a decent turnout too. Greg

Hi Greg Assuming I can get the car fixed in time and finances hold out (gearbox rebuild, exhaust and rolling road all needed + ideally get at least 10Kilos of excess weight out of the car!!) I'll be there. Lot of ifs in there I know, but the car hasn't been right for either of the first 2 meetings. My fault really as I should have gotten these things done over the winter but I was a little preoccupied with other more traumatic issues DC

Hi DC, I'm sure we didn't meet up at the weekend, but if yours is the car I think it is (looks like a frog but sounds a bit better!!) you didn't look too far off the pace of the front guys. Hope to see you at Cadwell and will introduce meself next time!

Look forward to that Greg - believe me I was way off the pace, but there were plenty of good excuses prepared (see above) DC

Pity it's looking slim for you too Martin. I'm still honestly doing the sums myself at present, but like I said above, it's looking fairly positive just now.
Just a thought ......... what's the situation if they only get a handful of entries? Or are the away meetings usually fairly well attended?

Should be going - promise to not get in Charlie's way again (Race 1 - my fault - had no idea he was in my left side blindspot). I've booked my accom at a self-catering place nearby: www.barnbreaks.co.uk/index.php?section=1&page=1Think he still has spaces currently. Test day on friday filling up - no afternoon only slots so morning or full day only.

I've heard wispers that If we don't get the entry nos up for this round then SMRC may be forced to try and cancel to avoid an expensive penalty.
So far I know the following cars/drivers are going. Please add your name to list!
DAVID SLEIGH TIM SLEIGH BARRY HOLMES CRAIG TAYLOR (NEW DRIVER) RUSSEL MILLOY PETER CRUIKSHANK
I know its expensive and a fair trek down there but the club needs drivers to buy into these away rounds or we effectively risk losing them from the calender. It used to be the case that all rounds were at KH if... it would be a shame for it to return to that. Cadwell must be one of the best tracks in the country and is well worth the stretch to get yourself there and on the grid.
Cheers David Sleigh
