[glow=red,4,400] Nick and John Triumphant in Anglesea[/glow] Nick Sanderson and John Findlay have made all our long days and late nights at ICR over the past four months well worthwhile. Nick and John have taken our cars and after just 20 or 30 Knockhill laps have taken Anglesea by storm. Nick qualified his car on pole position with John not far behind in 5th. Details are still unclear but Nick and John have had a fantastic start to their season 'dahn saf', not only has Nick put it on pole he has won the race , leading from start to finish, he has also got class win and 'Driver of the Day' as well. John Findlay not to be outdone finished an excellent 8th or 9th on the road and took third in class. Oh and this means Nick starts on pole tomorrow as well. More then, I'm off to celebrate some more Well Done Guys from All at ICR PS Can't wait to see it on telly, complete with Nick Sanderson TV Interview. WOW!

Quick update on Sunday race.
Nick finished 2nd, John had power steering problems and finished down the field.
No further details to hand at present.

I'm impressed. It takes some doing to build a car well, and a heck of a lot to win a race, but to do it in a newly built car first time out is some acheivement. I doff my hat to Nick, John and all involved at ICR. Good work guys Baz

Yep... I agree Baz.. We got a sort of flying commentary from Anglesey yesterday at Knockhill and the news perked everyone up..
Well done everyone involved... Those results are darn sight more than respectable for a new build..

Cheers everyone - I haven't had chance to write our sponsors race report yet but here is a quick outline of our exploits:
Qualifying:- Nick Sanderson - Pole! John Findlay - 5th
Race 1 Nick Sanderson - 1st! - overall and ST class win (and driver of the day) John Findlay - 3rd in ST class
Race 2 Nick Sanderson - 2nd - overall and 2nd in ST class John Findlay - 4th in ST class
Considering I had major problems with the power steering, not a bad result straight out of the box! I had no power steering at all in the second race and we were on slicks - I think my arms are going to fall off - very sore today!
Dan Rose took a win and 2nd place - he got me off the line in race 2 (I was maybe a little too cautious as we were on slicks in drizzle) and it took me a while to get back in front of one of the Si cars - by that time Dan had disappeared into the distance and didn't put a wheel out of place.
Although this is a development season, to get a result at our first meeting is some going and makes all the work the ICR guys have been doing to get the cars ready in time for Anglesey worth while.
A great result for our main sponsors, Kempster Ford and Orion Engineering too!
I'll let you all know when it will be shown on Motors TV.
Cheers! Nick.

Excellent Nick... Both you guys deserve a big "well done"...
What's the issue with the power steering? Oil boiling?

Cheers - yeah, we're completely boiling the fluid - the power steering just cannot take the grief we're putting the STs through - we all had problems but mine was far worse. The car kept filling with smoke (I just put the electric windows down!) In the first race it got progressively worse but no too bad - in the second race, I dumped all the fluid and it really was hard work - Dan had pulled away in the lead so unless he made a mistake, I wasn't going to catch him so I pretty much had to settle for second rather than risk it... We're speaking with the series coordinators to sort this problem out as there are various options to sort - we just couldn't sort it at Anglesey but it will be resolved before Oulton on June 30th. Nick.

Jeez, not a problem I've heard of much. Is the ST's not electro-hyraulic hybrid power steering, my Fez is ?
