I think it should be noted that the Legends were also the only ones not to wipe out the chicane bollard in the first lap... I lost count of how many times it got replaced.. Not wanting to leave you out David here's one of you pretending to de-gravel No 80 ...  |

I went up on Friday hoping to see the finale of the BMW championship develop into a dog fight between Ericsson, Kral and Arundel. All three run by big money teams going head to head trying to win the final BMW UK races and the right to move into the Euro series next season as UK champions. Sadly Kral lost an engine on friday and never got on the pace, Arundel gave the marshals a fright in race one and the second race turned into follow the leader. A big disapointment.

Has anyone managed to get hold of Autosport or Motorsport News yet? Neither Asda or Morrisons in Perth have them, wondering if it's a Perth-only thing or if everywhere's missing them!

Autosport was in my student's union here in Loughborough and MN was in the Tesco here too. Our copy of Autosport should have been delivered this morning (Thurs), I'll see it tomorrow when I get home. |

Tesco on the Crieff Road has the mags. They sadly failed to accurately portray how good our (Legend) racing was.
Probably, we had more passes in our five lap Heat1 than the rest of the other series all weekend!!
The look on the faces of scrutineers, drivers, hangers-on and fans tells me that Ben Mason was spot-on with his quote of people coming to see the BTCC and leaving speaking about the Legends.
Setanata did a fine job of the coverage and I hope were suitably impressed by our offerings, such that they may table a bid for covering the SMRC next year in a fuller format. It would certainly provide an option for the SMRC to mull over.
Alan Gow is in the celebrity Mini this year, it would be really good to get his feedback - Mike! Definately a good article in that bloke.

As quality an individual as Alan Gow is in terms of the BTCC, he tends to look "a bit grumpy" pretty much all the time - I don't own the required riot-gear to approach him. |

From my experience of Alan Gow, when he races 2cvs he seems to think he is above the law. Speeding in the pit lane etc and is also fairly physical on track too!

Damn, my Autosport aint arrived through my letterbox yet!
A year or so ago there were a spate of copies that never arrived, after I got in touch with Autosport they sent me replacements, then the last one they basically turned around and said "It was posted, we aren't sending you another" !
