FFS - I had a choice of corner for the last two races - and guess where I was? The wrong one?

Well, what a brilliant day - I can't get the grin off my face after such a fantastic meeting. The first race splashing about on the wet track was fun and the final (where at least half the crowd stayed to the end) was brilliant fun and I ended up having a great fight with Frank for the last few laps.
The crowd were great, especially at the hairpin on the slow-down lap - they really seemed to be very into it all and clapped everyone back in (the donuts helped, I'm sure!) so hopefully if we converted a few people to be interested in coming back in a couple of weeks then it'll all be good. Just watched the live Setanta coverage of the two races - brilliant coverage, especially of the final!

As said elsewhere Mike, great races and yes I was surprised at how many people stayed. (some people left before the BTCC Race 3, which I just do not see the logic in the money it costs...). Hopefully as you say some people might come back and discover that the meeting doesn't have to be a high profile one to produce great racing. I was having my doubts at the beginning of the day about the weather, was freezing to start with but just getting really nice as the day ended. Decided to just sit in the car for a while (with a view of the hairpin) as the people queuing were getting nowhere fast. When I left I thought I'd avoid the usual Kincardine Bridge MASSIVE queues only to get stuck on the M90 before the Forth Bridge. Some people were even getting out of their cars for a fag we were sitting so long. I ended up taking the Dunfermline cut off and going to the Kincardine Bridge !

Yep - Saturday race went from this all nice and orderly like To this - a very long shot but note the wheel rolling over the red car on the right! (need a zoomier zoom lens) And this jammy beggar survived ;D

That was one fantastic day, big well done to everyone involved in Legends for putting on such a good show, and it was clear where I was at the hairpin in the final that the crowd loved them The tv coverage was fantastic as well, seems so strange seeing one of our club series given the big-series coverage but wow it looked good Biggest legends field ever, I heard a few people say, and it looked fantastic on tv, was really good racing all down the field. Well done everyone involved!

Would you invite this lot into your house?
Very suspicious looking bunch especially that one in the middle in the off white T Shirt and the glasses with his hand down the back of Carol Brown's race suit !! ;D

Ha! Fantastic picture. Cracking racing too, all of it, and live on Santana telly for the Legends! If that doesn't do something for spectator numbers I don't know what will. The commentator sounded pretty impressed too...he'd completely ran out of superlatives Baz

Can anyone tell me how we can get a copy of the Santanta coverage of the weekend legend racing, was busy clearing away and travelling home so did not see any of it. A fantastic weekend for us all, the Legends did "what it says on the tin", the great pocket rockets delivered. The acrobatics were awesome. Hope the crowd appreciated it.

I'll see you in court for your slanderous allegations, Mr Winchester. I just thought you were holding her up by her braces - honest ;D I'm going to set up an online photo gallery once I've worked out how to do it so I'll publish all the Legend photos I have plus a few more and you can steal any you want.

Hope it's a big album, Dick!! Andrew said he'd taken 500 pics on the Saturday alone!
Looking at that photo of the Legends mob again, I'd say Mike's hand was down the front of Carol's suit... he does have very long arms....
Great weekend and enough incidents at the chicane to keep us on our toes.. Thank you Ray MacDowall, Alan Taylor and some 12 year old in a Formula BMW who tested the tyre wall ......... and lost.
Great racing too in most of the races, Legends guys take a bow!!
Even when the power failed, the "see you jimmy" guys tried to entertain the crowd!
Thanks to Andrew W and his "sponsor" and "Mrs Sponsor" for their chat and banter!
David
