Being a little cheeky here, but the real reason I wanted to start a thread for the coming weekend is that I don't have timetable or entry info (my fault as I couldn't locate my cheque book and am having to pay on the day). Does anyone have the entry pack yet? If so, could you post the timetable?
Cheers .. DC

Didn't see a huge amount of the racing today as the legends races were closer together than usual. Had fun though I can't recall the last time we had two red flags. Weird weather too - started foggy and cold, rained then ended up muggy and humid.
What happened in the first Formula Ford race? Heard there was a big pileup at after a restart but there were a couple of different stories floating around. Did hear Sandy's interview afterwards though and he wasn't a happy bunny.

Well first off foxy hope you enjoyed the holliday, having been at post 10 for the last 2 meetings getting bullied by your resident flag marshal and me a poor wee innocent angel honest we have been kept busy especialy the sunday of GT. Today it was just a few bumps, scrapes, even flames but the car kept going past us ;D so basicly just normal run of the mill stuff. You are also lumbard with me on post 10 until the end of the season atleast on medical grounds see you at the speedfair

Did hear Sandy's interview afterwards though and he wasn't a happy bunny. From my view point the red lights for the back of the grid went out so the drivers started (no green flag straight to race) but for some reason the middle of the grid stood still couldn't see front of the grid, as a result the rear of grid were headed for the stationary traffic on brow of hill.

Think the lights were going off on the bridge ready to be turned back on - so some cars went when they seen them go off. Certainly plenty of action in the XR2's today - still hate the wet, much prefer the dry - two 11ths though as far as I know - when I left I don't think the results had been confirmed yet due to a lot of incidents being looked at.

mylaps.com said 2 guys got penalties in the second xr2 race but I better nae mention names. Was a half and half weekend for me, first half was great then race 2 crashed me back down to earth lol Qualed well and couydl of gone quicker but seemed to get alot of traffic so gotta sort out how I start qualifying in the next meetings. Started off well and was hanging onto the top 10 quite well, Barry got past me early on but wasnt letting him get away and with some late retirements got a 12th overall and 8th in the XR2 class as them st's were flying again in the wet. Race 2, started fine but then was falling back a wee bit but still felt okay then the engine problem Ive been having came back with a vengance, had a missed gear as of Mike's info when he was behind me and just no power from 5 and a half in 4th so was just getting taken on straights in a way that I was in a mini and they were in bugatti's almost so finished 2nd last xr2 but thats life. Hopefully get it fixed once I get all the stuff sorted out on what to replace if anything. Now for a nice 2 month break

The FF1600 false start.....
What I saw from the commentary box was this. The FF1600 race was stopped at lap 6. The cars were then reformed on the grid and held there for a few minutes while the track was cleared. Normally in these circumstances the red lights on the bridge, which had been illuminated in order to stop the race, would be switched off once the cars were parked up and the track clearance safely underway. On this occasion the red lights were not switched off. Therefore as the countdown sequence to restart the race passed through the one minute point and then the thirty second point there was clear confusion amongst the drivers at the front who could see the lights on the bridge were still on. Therefore after the five second board, when the lights went out, they didn’t know whether that was the race start or whether the lights would come back on step by step and then go out in the normal race start sequence. An accident was sadly inevitable as half the field started and half did not.

had a relatively busy day at Duffus with quite a few spinners and daryl t ford almost rolling but unfortunately landing on a rock and bursting the fuel tank causing fuel to spew everywhere. then had to ride on the flatbed back to paddock spilling petrol everywhere. was cacking it a bit cheers to jim and the paddock guys for following us in with bottles, thankfully she didnt catch fire, was knackered carrying the bottle back to post tho apart from that spinners a plenty and thought we were going to have a big un with the minis when the mobile chicane (nadine) caught out david sleigh and chris pearson going down duffus, big respect to david and chris they tried to avoid her good racing all day and cheers to stuart for being a cracking observer on post

Notice Knockhill have removed the tyre wall at the bottom of Duffus which is much better. I tested my Clio gearchange on Sunday morning sucessfully so that put me right in the mood for some good racing. Good races as normal, particularly enjoyed the S&S races. Much closer pack without some cars being there. Two points I noted were: - Peter Cruickshank in XR2 race 2! What was that all about, wrecked his car again and went backwards for most of the race. Someone accidently (I assume) hit the back of him quite hard at the hairpin, then passed, so Peter waited until his front bumper was in line with the guys back bumper and then turned across him, spinning him out. Im afraid from watching that drive he doesnt deserve to win the championship. - The guest driver in the mini! Everytime she was coming into the hairpin it was CRRRRRUUUUNNNNCCCHHH CRUUUNCH CRUNNCH. No wonder she wasnt out for race 3, the gearbox was probably in pieces. ;D Please dont tell me she has a race licence.
