"When I was a lad" - You sound about 60, like my dad ! On the plus side I did the experience last year in the Ibiza Cupra's, I assume that is what I'll get to do my test in, and got the comment that I was a smooth driver so hopefully I should be able to take it from there. Undecided (as you know lol) on the car front yet, what I do know is I will need someone to help me run it !

I have only just turned 25!
Easy answer Blair, ICR! Iain knows the car inside-out back-to-front! He built it with a little help from his friends. It used to be a hire car!

Booked the ARDS test... will let you know when it is if I pass it.... Any advice greatly appreciated, what is the theory bit like, is it true you must get 100% on the flags, then there's another section thats scenario questions ? Whats the driving part like.. ? The theory part is really straight forward watch the video a good few times and your bound to pass. You do need to be 100% on the flags which shouldn't really be a problem.as for the scenario questions its multiple choice and isn't really that hard I think you can get a couple of these wrong. For the driving part you head out put in some laps for these don't push it hard or try and go to fast, listen to what your being told then you return to the pit lane. When you head out for the second time go a wee bit faster and remember what you were told and you should pass no worries.I'm sure the examiner takes you out for a how to do it lap and a how not to do it lap.I just cant remember if thats before or after your first run. Good luck

Thanks, gonna watch the vid a few times, and revise the flags. There's about 7 or 8 IIRC in the blue book, thought there'd be more.

Hi Blair - good luck with your ARDS - you'll be fine - just make sure you know the flags before the test. Speak to Iain before you decide what you want to do - he always has different packages available depending on your budget. My bank account now has an automatic transfer faciliity to ICR with the ST !!! Nick.

More like 70% You want to walk to Cadwell 70% my rear end... Wait til I tell your mother ;D Nick.... I really like you... but not that much.. Mind you if Andrew keeps on about how poor I'm keeping him I might change my mind.. Either that or I'll just take over my XR2 and he can go buy his own...

More like 70% I'll just take over my XR2 and he can go buy his own... Yes please, I only need 1 more driver (I think) to make 20 XR2's at Cadwell. Ian Forest will do a rush ARDS test. Andrew, John Findlay's XR2 is almost ready to go. Could be ready in time. ;D
