...for everyone to go quiet! I know the season's over, and it's bloody cold out there, but no need to go into hibernation just yet! I'm sure there's got to be something to talk about - maybe the highs and lows of the season that's just ended, plans and hopes for next season, etc, etc? I'd like to keep this place awake for a bit longer, anyway - just because it's winter, it doesn't mean the site will be shutting down (myself and KF have several ideas for articles and features to put up), and if we can keep the forum awake too, then more of you will actually be visiting to notice the new articles

I think the high of the season for me was seeing the Shaguar out in the Sport and Saloons! Low of the season was not seeing the Shaguar out in the last round of the Sport and Saloons! Dave.

Okay so most of the regular contributors out for the last meeting.
Still waiting for HistoricRacer's report.
Still waiting for Gallery Pic's Ghirlracer.
What happened regards planned Kart Racing last meeting?
Who's going to see Legends display Racing at Scottish Motor how on 16th November?

Lol, agreed about that Jag - great laugh there! Photos will follow soon - I've been rushed off my feet lately, so haven't got this meeting's ones picked up from the processors yet, and last meeting's ones (the ones that worked!) are still sitting on my desk waiting to be scanned... I will get there soon, honest! It's the 16th that the Legends are racing is it? Hmm... tricky one, then, as I already had an online race planned for that day, and as it's in a series I don't currently race in, it was meant to be a test to see if I wanted to do that series next year. If it's the only chance to see the Legends, though, then the Legends will win, or are they on most days? The website doesn't make anything very clear, so I don't have a clue how it's being organised, tbh...

The Jag? Sadly no - the day it was out was the day my camera wasn't working right, and I hardly got any photos I think KF got one of it in the paddock (taken with our crap digicam), which I could probably find - I'll see if it's on his computer later on

Wallpaper? Not out of the crap quality of the digicam we use anyway (we're not subsidised - need sponsors ) - I'll mail you the two pics I've got.

Yeah, it seems to have quietened down pretty quick on here since Sunday. Season highs and lows...that's kinda easy. High: starting and finishing my first race. Low: Not fnishing one and not even starting two!. High: finishing 11th and getting some championship points. Low: totalling the car!
OK, I've got two topics that may provoke discussion and debate here...
1. Minis! (Only joking, but that word seems to have that effect)
2. Charity race. (Sort of semi-serious this time). There's loads of charity things happening in the close season, children in need, comic relief etc. I was thinking out loud the other day and hit on the idea of a charity race. The idea being we get those who race in saloon car classes to whack a passengers seat in the car and then get people to donate money to charity for a seat next to us whilst we race the things! Put the emphasis on fun, run Legends style grids and races, oh, and tell everyone not to hit each other!! If we can get it on telly, then there's loads of plusses...money for charity primarily of course.
Any thought's / takers??
Baz

Baz: no.2 - sounds bloody fun but you'd have to be loopy to sit in the passenger seat!!!!! My hope for next year is to save some cash up and get a racing licence then I am free to spend (any) money on the actual racing.....whatever that may be.

Agreed, TL - I like the sound of a charity race, but I don't think I'd volunteer to be a passenger, somehow Would be fun to watch, though, especially to see the reactions of the passengers as they got out of the cars

Would be fun to watch, though, especially to see the reactions of the passengers as they got out of the cars To see, maybe. To smell, certainly not. Where have I been? Errr..... 50% Jobcentre, 30% pub, 10% watching Partick get beat, and 10% computer type lark. 100% bored, however.
