2-0 to Austria at Hampden, can it get any worse for the Scotland Football Squad?
Beginning to think the SFA acted too quickly by getting rid of Craig Brown.....

You'd probably do better with my mum in charge. Unfortunately, she is currently unavailable as she's waiting for Sven's job... Nick. PS Rumours that I was shouting for the "Mighty Austria" are completly unfounded...

Yes, another gubbing eh.
Just heard someone on the radio in a rant about Bertie Vogts - personally I don't like the guy, most Germans lack character and he seems to be one of the examples.
Anybody except a German please!!

Spanked yet again... I know what you are saying TL, Bertie ain't exactly Mr Charisma but then who in their right mind WOULD take on the job. I mean with most other international teams the manager has a least a slim chance of them winning every now and then...lol. Nick, are you by any chance an import from south of the border?...lol..as I would hate to see you lose the support of the SCOTTISH fans Jaffa6

Have you never saw the "targets" on the front wings of his XR2 Jaffa? ;D (Hint, they happen to be red and white.. )

It's just when you look at Vogts' record (14 games, 9 losses and the most shocking draw in history) that you worry. And you can only blame it on the young players for so long......

He He - Yes indeed Jaffa6, I am from Yorkshire but am based in Aberdeen. I thought that post might liven things up around here!
If you look at the photos of my car, I do have a couple of small flags from when I got a dose of "World Cup Fever".
As TL correctly stated, the other drivers know them as "Targets" !!! (Bit of fun really)
Back to the game though, Scotland really do need to sort it out. Apart from some West Ham defending and Gallagher making a hash of a clearance, they did not look like getting a result.
Gallagher is a great keeper and anyone can screw up - it's just 10 times worse when it's the keeper that makes the mistake!

TL, I didn't notice those before but I may have to re-consider the drivers that I support in the future...lol Nick I was aware that one of the drivers ( not sure who) has the England flag on his mirrors but he seems to be a bit further back in the field than yourself....and I'm pretty sure he has still been running at the end too... ( sorry mate... ..couldn't resist...). As for Scotland... I don't know what we can do to turn it around. The young guys can't seem to do it for us, but the older/experienced guys can't supply the goods either. And like I said before, Bertie Vogts may not be the greatest manager in the world ( and I agree with Speedy, his record is horrendous...) but who else would take on the job if the SFA get rid of him ? Maybe we should just give up international football and put the Scotland team into a pub team league...lol. Jaffa6

How about an SCR XI against the Scotland squad? I reckon we'd have half a chance

Yeah good idea - you could put Charlie in goals - there wouldn't be a big enough gap for the ball to get past him!
Jaffa6 - can't think who the english guy is you noticed. I'll have to look out for that one...

RE: Scotland football - Hopeless case as far as Vogts is concerned but the team itself does have some promise. Bin Bertie and get almost anyone else in charge.
RE: English drivers - Haven't noticed any english targets on any other cars than Nick's - theres a Legend with St George mirrors though....

Yeah good idea - you could put Charlie in goals - there wouldn't be a big enough gap for the ball to get past him! True! Mind you, I wouldn't have Nick as a forward. While his performance as a 'striker' has been good his 'finishing' has been poor.

Charlie: True! Mind you, I wouldn't have Nick as a forward. While his performance as a 'striker' has been good his 'finishing' has been poor. ROFL.....the man has a point Nick. Never mind, you'll get to see the some day...lol The car KF mentioned is the one I was talking about. The wing mirrors have the St Georges Cross on them. I'm not sure if the driver is actually English or what, but being a real Scot I spotted that before anything else about the car.... .....obviously...lol...if I HAD been paying attention then I would have noticed it was a legend:banghead: Jaffa6

LOL!
I'll give Charlie that - he's surpassed even himself with that one!
Jaffa6 - what does that flag mean? - It's that long since I've seen it I've forgotton what it's for!

Nick, Apparently it was the flag of some geezer called George who, for some unknown reason, was made a saint ( should saint start with a capital, you know like God not god...? ). Anyway supposedly this guy killed a dragon, but I heard that it was really just a big frog and he stood on it accidently. But then the English, being English, decided that since the didn't have anyone that they could compare with the likes of Rob Roy or William Wallace they blew the tale all out of proportion and made out like he was some kind of BIG MAN....lol, or so I'm told.
