The great man is visiting Scotland in a couple of weeks! :cheese: Only found out yesterday, when I happened to wander into Waterstones and spotted a poster advertising it... seems he's doing book signings in Glasgow on December 2nd, and Edinburgh on the 3rd - me and KF are aiming to go to the Edinburgh one in the evening, which should be pretty cool Details at www.fireandwater.com/microsites/murray_walker/events.asp though it doesn't give as much info as it could......

Not seeing Aberdeen mentioned Might be worth the trek though - for all his mistakes, he is a true pro

Just got back from it - hellishly long day, considering KF started work at 8am this morning, and we left for Edinburgh as soon as he got home, and only got back a few minutes ago, but well worth it  Dunno if anyone else from here made it (didn't spot anyone, anyway), but it was really good - he basically answered questions for an hour or so, generally getting sidetracked with a load of stories about his life, and the racing he's seen over the years, and then sat there signing books for ages - he was saying that he's signed about 40,000 copies of his autobiography since it came out, believe it or not! That's a lot of books... goes to show how popular he is Hadn't realised exactly how old he was, either - I knew it was over 75, but apparently he's 79! He looks about 20 years younger than that, I have to say - hopefully he'll be around a good bit longer though he was saying he's got no plans to be back on the tv again, sadly... still, even if he never goes back, it was fantastic getting to meet a living legend like him - that was the chance of a lifetime, really

It was worth the dash to the train station after work and the getting home so late I barely got any sleep for the following day ten times over just to meet Murray - his interview was hilarious and very interesting, he's got hundreds of thousands of stories to tell and I'll bet only a fraction of them are in his current book... I want another release - "Murray's Tales" in a 10'000 page novel!
