Thought that the following, which was posted by someone in the Gassing station on Pistonheads, would be of ammusement to the people on here:
Jackie Stewart was telling the other drivers at Monza how his throttle had jammed before Curva Grande and how he had somehow hung on and made it through the corner. There were murmers of appreciation from the other drivers. From the back a light scots voice chipped in;
Jim Clark: "Are you saying Jackie, that you normally lift off there".
;D

Don't suppose we could have a poll on this one could we? Which one was better - Stewart, the more cautious calculated driver or Clark, perhaps the more out and out speed exponent?
I'll go for the latter :cool:

I'm a far (very!) off relation of Jim Clark..really I am!!!
He looked amazing in the Lotus Cortina back in 1964 in the championship which is now known as the BTCC...

The strongest memory i have from when i was 5 years old was the phone call from Hockenhiem to my father ( Graham Gauld ) to say Jim Clark had been killed, I can still remember everything about the day room i was in end my fathers state,
Jim Clark will always remain a hero of a more dangerous age to be respected above all who have followed,,
cheers
