Rumour has it that a new toy is soon to be heading up the M1 or M6 on a trailer attached to a puegot 306. This toy might just end up with a no 42 on it.

This toy might just end up with a no 42 on it. I'm sure it will be a much lower number than that John. Where did you place for the season? I'm sure you were in the top 20 and will be re-numbered for this year

At least it won't get stuck for five hours on the A90 (no prizes for guessing what happened in the blizzards today  )

I skillfully managed to finish just outside the top 20 - Nick could probably tell you exactly where. I actually like 42, if you have heard of the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy and know anything about it, you will know why. In a year or so it will also be my age and (before anyone else says it) some may say its my IQ

Sounds good John - have you sold your old one yet? I just happen to know someone who will be starting out in 2003 and is looking for a car. I need to speak to Iain about it anyway...

probable new toy currently still down south but will be shipped up soon.
old toy not sold as far as I know.
old toy price negotiable especially as I may want to swap some bits between the cars. if potential buyer comes with a bullet proof NSR guarantee, flexbile credit terms may be available

"Bullet proof NSR guarantee" That's a new one on me! And that's coming from John "Arthur Daley" Findlay!

just means that if your potential buyer did want to take advantage of any "flexible credit terms" I would expect you to guarantee his creditworthiness to an such an extent that if he didn't pony up or crashed it and didn't repair it prior to paying etc etc that you would present me with your "family jewels" on a silver platter.... or else go round to his house and break his.....
oh and me Arthur Daley ? trust me I'm a banker...... and yes, any attempted "jokes" on variations of the word banker have all been heard before, thousands of times
on the other hand, if this guy buys it and you steer him towards it for more than my minimum acceptable price, then a finders fee might just be payable....

John - just noticed the bit about your number earlier in this thread.
You finished 24th overall in 2002 so you would only have needed to swap your numbers over any way!
Think on the bright side, you've saved yourself 4 pounds.
That's why I needed to finish in the top ten - it will only cost £2 for single numbers!
