Currently suffering from total brain failure when it comes to ideas for a logo for the website.... I've picked a font (Hobo, if anyone's got it), and got a nice graphic of "www.ScottishClubRacing.co.uk" in Hobo, with a shadow to it, and that's as far as I've got... I could just do it in blue and stick it on the page, but it'd be pretty dull, and hardly very exciting as a logo for people to put on their cars! So, anyone got any suggestions? I think there ought to be a saltire in there somewhere, and I'd like to have a picture of a car or two, but can't work out how to implement it, sadly... all suggestions welcome!

For logo's and graphics for car decals etc. try to use a maximum of 2 or 3 primary colours as with more colours more artwork and preparation are required which increases the costs.
Can't help to much with the idea side though:s

I get it - so in that case I should just do the url in white on blue or something like that for the decals? That's easy enough... just have to come up with something half interesting for the site itself, then! Actually, I may just do a simple url for now, and just replace it later on if I get inspired... just having a logo of some kind will be a start!

I like it! How did you get that to work with the kind of blurry effect on the pictures? If I send you a picture of the logo I'm wanting (in the Hobo font), and some more pictures, do you think you could do another one like it? Really like that one, anyway - that's just the kind of thing I wanted, but haven't worked out how to do for myself yet!

hi GR I used Paint Shop Pro, which I nabbed off the web..somehow for nothing It's just in the effects toolbar, it's called wind, then I gave it a transparent blue effect. Sure, I will get that logo done, just send em to me at tl@murdoch56.freeserve.co.uk

Ah, right - I use Photoshop, which I don't think has those options..... KF's got Paint Shop Pro, but I've never managed to work out how to use it effectively, plus it's impossible to do anything even remotely accurate with that trackball he insists on using... Thanks - I'll hunt out some half-decent photos and then mail them through to you

The new logo's now up on the site - thanks TL! Only one problem... putting a quality logo like that up on the site has made my buttons look rather amateur... the new ones I did in the XR2 section already made them look a bit tacky, but now they really look bad - anyone got any suggestions for improvements to them now! :blackeye::laugh:
