Fiesta Zetec race car rolling shell wanted. Will consider complete car but would prefer just shell and suspension. Cheers.

Where abouts in the UK are you and how quick are you looking for one? Thanks for the info guy's. I'm based West Lothian and ideally looking to get the car/shell start of next year - so over the next 3 month's or so. Can anyone help with spec on the Zetec race car. I believe the shells were build by Ford for the credit race series. What spec is the shell/roll cage, is it fully welded/triangulated, pick-up points on front/rear suspension etc. Is the Proflex 2 or 3 way and is it Proflex front and rear. Any info much appreciated.

Keep an eye out on NSAA.co.uk. That's the official website for Northern Salvage in Whitburn. I've seen a couple of cars going through there recently.
There is also one or two cars available nationwide through a couple of Salvage Auction sites that I'm a member of. If I see anything local (i.e. Denny, Inverkeithing or Edinburgh) I'll drop you a note. You can typically get a good 00' plate cat D for around £500 - £750.
With regards to your regs, I'm not sure. I understand that you may need to buy a Zetec shell (for the bodykit) and then locate the 1.4 engine. Ask Charlie Thornton, he used to own one, he may know more about it. Check out fordracinguk.com and look up the regs for Class B. This may help.
I take it you are looking to compete in the UK/English series?
Not fancy an [glow=red,2,300]ST[/glow] instead?? ;D

May be worth contacting Peter Daniels - search for Daniels Motorsport on the internet as I don't have his number with me (I'm in Germany).
Pete runs loads of Si and Zetecs and there were a few heavily damaged ones from Brands that need repair which may be available at a decent price since two of the drivers are moving up to STs in 2008...
Cheers, Nick.

Guy's, I'm expecting a few gasps now, but I'm actually from the dark side - you've guessed it - Rallying ;D. I need the Zetec to transplant my bits (so to speak) into and thought the race zetec would be a good donor. I've spoke to Pete Daniels and he's got a few cars at the moment but would be good to find something a bit more local. Does anyone on here actually own one I could have a look at . Cheers.
