Hi,
I've just ordered the first batch of many hoses, Aeroquip fittings, etc for a kit car I hope to start racing later this/next year. It occured to me that I haven't had much luck tracking down any local suppliers of racing bits and pieces....
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Dave

The likes of RJM & Falkland performance in Glenrothes, MV turbo's in Carnock will be able to get you most things but I always use Demon Tweeks, Burton Power or Rally Design!

Fife's a long drive from Edinburgh...except on Sundays Remembered Sportstune that used to be in Canonmills in Edinburgh. Used to be able to pick up all sorts of racing bits, helmets, suits, etc...sadly it closed long before I could ever afford to buy much. Plenty of suppliers of phatt exhuasts left though Got my order of hoses and bits in short order last week (hence the delay in replying - too busy fitting) from Think Automotive (http://www.thinkauto.com) the people who make Mocal oil coolers. Not unsuprisingly they have very good prices on Mocal oil coolers... Feeling guilty about not using local supplier because I'm importing a large chunk of my cars engine bay from the US which isn't doing much for our balance of payments.

You could try SUPERSPEED on Corstorphin Rd near the Zoo. They get lots of goodies for ICR. (They may have packed in though, I can't remember when we last used them)

Demon Tweeks is usually a good bet. They have two catalogues - one for motorsport and one for performance. Their website isn't brilliant and they charge for the catalogues!
Best bet is order something small from them and they send a free catalogue anyway!

Demon Tweeks seem to have revamped their web page in the past few days. It seems to have a different subset of their catalog from the old website....but it seems to indicate that they will get most of their products online eventually. The new site is 100 times easier to navigate and find stuff compared with the old one.
The catalogue seem to be free now but with a £3 delivery charge!!!

Lol, I find the best way to get a Demon Tweeks catalogue (for the racing side of things, anyway) is to buy the new year issue of Autosport - it always has one free with it Just wish I ever noticed what magazine to buy for the road version of the catalogue, cos the one time I got a copy it had some pretty cool stuff in it... but I'm not paying £3 for something I'll probably only ever look at!
