I'm not going to get involved in the rights or wrongs of things in recent threads, but it'd be nice if everyone could keep comments on "for sale" threads to questions about availability/condition of the cars etc, and if we could have no more quibbling over prices. In the end it's everyone's right to set their own prices at what they feel the car to be worth and I don't want there to be arguments over every advert that appears. Any future posts disregarding this may be subject to deletion - you have all been warned! Thanks for listening

Thanks catriona, I am just trying to sell my car for a reasonable price and I receive snide and sarcastic comments, I am sure this turns away potential buyers.
Is there anyway that you could delete the "nasty" posts?

I could do if everyone prefers that; I prefer not to delete posts unless absolutely necessary though, as I don't like to be a dictator-like moderator, especially as the discussion was pretty much over until tonight - my post was really intended to stop it flaring up again after your reaction to Marc's thread. (I'm not placing blame by the way; I can understand your post given what happened before)
Edit: changed my mind and did the deletions now - if anyone objects, your original thread that got so derailed can be restored; your post in Marc's thread cannot however, as this forum only makes it easy for me to move whole threads to a place for safekeeping.

I think your post regarding prices is too expensive. Posts on other forums about prices are much cheaper. You can buy them on ebay for £20. ;D
