Gavin Pyper no longer in the BTCC

Sadly, commencing this weekend, Gavin Pyper is out of a drive at GA Motorsports in the Astra Coupé.

Apparently, Gary Ayles recieved a large amount of cash to buy a drive, and coincidentally the driver who will take Pyper's seat will be ex-Halfords driver Carl Breeze. It would be easy to go mad at Breese for putting out lad out of a driver, but from what I can gather, Pyper had had up till now to get the money for the drive, obviously he didn't.

I heard a little whisper that after the Rockingham Vic Lee and Carl had a "few words to say to each other. Presumably this is a result. The only good news to come out of all of this is that Danny Buxton now takes Breeze's seat in the Halfords Peugeot 307.

Well, there goes one of the last remaining things in the BTCC that held my interest....

Tell me about it! My trip to Croft now looks like one of no success for the Scots. Because of course, Anthony Reid is very heavily ballasted (and is he Scottish anyway going by his accent ? ) and David Leslie, well you don't need me to explain that to you.

Pyper of course could win the Indie Cup Races!!
