Any word on the "March Test Day" as of yet?? The holiday planner at my work had several green slots for March last week but they have started to turn amber.... if I'm going to have any chance of making it there (and I'd like to...) I need to know as soon as is humanly possible or I've got no hope of getting the day off.... :s

KF - I'm afraid we still don't know yet. It will most likely be a Wednesday at some point in March but we really can't help you..
John Marshall and Ally Hunter usually book the track for the day but Knockhill will have to confirm the availability before they can book.
I'll let you know ASAP.

test date at Knockhill for Legends racing.
yes there is a test date at knockhill and it's the 30th March (sunday) there is 6 x 20 minute sessions. 3 in the morning and the rest in the afternoon.
this is the usaul Legends racing test date which i think N-SR is talking about ,( aly hunter & john marshall will book track day etc etc)
so until i speak to aly i don't know who's going or which cars are going ( XR2/Legends etc etc ) . but it does say the price is going to be around 80.00 squids per car.
the XR2 where there last year with the Legends but i suppose it bepends on Numbers of cars going at the end of the day.

Ah - thanks RR - that sounds good. Ally & John normally invite the XR2 boys along as well as it works out better for all if we pay for the whole day together. I presume that it will be the same this year but we'll have to wait and see.
Weather may have something to do with it as well!

RR,
you sure this is the day in question ? Usually its midweek with free sessions (i.e just go out when you like) and if memory serves me right about £100 ?
what you describe sounds just like any other Hill test day ?

the info i have given you was from a letter i got through the post the day before. it's from aly to all the legends drivers and gives us info for the coming seasons racing. the letter has about two pages to it and what i wrote about the test date is in my own words not the letters so hear is that the letter actually say's? "Legends racing will be having its usual TEST DAY. and this has been set for SUNDAY THE 30th MARCH. there will be 6 x 20 minute sessions, 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. cost is approx 80.00 per car." so there you have it , any further info you need about this you need to speak to Aly Hunter at legends race hire. or wait till i have talked to him myself and posted it on here.  |

Certainly sounds like the day in question. Bit of a departure from previous years but c'est la vie.
Anyway just heard that I work want me in Reading of all places on that day so looks like I will miss it anyway.
Nick, we will have to wait for our playtime in each others cars....
