Mike I agree with your point about the SMRC being happy in simply ticking along. As long as the entry fees they get pay for running costs I'm sure they not bothered. People wanting to race will as long as they have the budget, its not as if the SMRC has to provide a good promotional case to sponsors as I doubt there are any sponsors in the SMRC series that make a profit from their investments. Exactly - the vast majority of the sponsors in club racing are generally owned by or closely linked to the driver they sponsor - it's usually just a way of a motorsport enthusiast to give his own business a bit of publicity at the track. |

Is anyone going along to Brands on Sunday for the opening rounds? I'll probably be popping over (it's only 45 minutes away from my house)....
Looks like most of the grids will be full so should be good racing...

Got Setanta to watch the NASCAR so getting the full BTCC meetings as well suddenly makes it reasonable value. |
