Does anyone know of anyone who is intending to run a class G car (2 seater sports racing car or GT, ie Lola, Chevron, Jade, Radical or w.h.y) in this years championship. Why I ask is that if there are as many of these cars as has been suggested there could be fun and games with the starting arrangements. (pitlane start involving 8 cars?). Better to know before signing that big cheque.

There are usually optimistic rumours of entries flying around at this time of year and although I've no official channels with which to confirm or deny anything, I'm sure there won't be as many entries as that - it's the silly-season!

I think KF has a point. There are usually a lot of rumours flying about w.r.t. fast sports and saloon entries at this time of year...before the reality of the running costs, time commitments, etc kick in. Given the number of fairly cheap Radicals and the like floating about it's not inconceivable that we could have quite a big grid this year though.
If the grid of class G cars was significant wouldn't they revert to starting on the grid with a 30 second delay as they did in previous years? Did they not start from the pitlane because of the small numbers last year? (i.e. Olly Ross)
Have to say my own ambitions for racing my Ultima have taken a bit of a rain check. Discovered all sorts of potential issues with my fuel tank location that make it hard and expensive to turn into a proper race car. I also suspect that my Goodyear Eagle GS Fiorano road tyres are not on the appropriate RAC lists so I'd be relegated to class G with all the all out racers on slicks. Not a good plan. Just going to have to use the car as a pose mobile/track day car while I work on a cunning plan for a proper race car...
