Can anybody recommend somebody in Edinburgh to fit a roll cage ?
Mainly looking for somebody that can weld in the mounting box sections.

you might need to be a bit more patient - many of us don't look at the site that much between races! All my rally and race cars have been bought with cages fitted so I can't help you out but if you pop up to Knockhill and chat nicely to the guys up there, someone will be able to give a recommendation I'm sure.

Ask for Wullie Davidson. He'll do a good job at a fair price. He's done a lot of cages ...

Cheers Guy's,
Sorry if i came across impatient, Don't mean to be rude to the sites owners but what other Scottish motorsport forums do you guy's use, This one seems to be a bit sleepy...... Can't help feel everybody is posting elsewhere.
The problem is getting the car and the two part cage up there, Was hoping for a local welder/fabricator with some skills.... Has to be somebody in the town thats up to the job.
Cheers

trouble is my friend that you are asking a motor racing community, not an edinburgh community. That said I would also recommend Wullie Daivdson and if you have trouble in getting the car to Knockhill, pm Dave on here he will transport your car for a very fair price.
If all else fails give Iain Cowie a call, I;m sure he will know someone that could sort you out.
One final thought, Tyncastle garage prepare race cars - Oly Mortimer in a Porsche for example you could always call them.
And sorry, yes you are coming across as a bit impatient...

trouble is my friend is that you have asked your question on a motorsports forum, not an edinburgh forum. That said I would alos recommend Wullie Davidson, he did mine. If your problem is getting your car to Wullie, pm Dave on here, he will do you a good deal - check out the for sale section.
and yes, you did come across as impatient but no worries

Thanks John, The cage has been siting for a while and been let down a few times, Just want to crack on with it....
Good call with Tynecastle, I never thought about them.
On a side note........ What other forums do you guy use. SMRC forum ?
I know that motor racing scene is not massive up here as it is down south but it seems a tad quiet on the forum front.
A quiet year money wise and lack of help means i won't be going racing anytime soon, but looking for other avenues to take the car out and do other things.
Hillclimbs, Sprints Etc.

I don't know anyone who uses the smrc forum. This is the only one I know that anyone uses but most of us probably are fb friends so this isnt as busy as it used to be but if you ask questions here you will get good answers and if you start an interesting debate it will get lively
