I think the grid capacity went up when the track was widened? As far as I know it's 32 for saloons under 2000cc, 28 for saloons over 2000cc. Think single seaters etc are different. Not sure where Legends fits into that though?
Norm, good point re ST's etc. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence that there are 32 entries or whether that's been limited on first come first served. I imagine the timetable doesn't have much room to start adding in qualifying races though?

Pity we can't make it down this weekend... Would love to have seen those starts!!!!!! We need Smart Timing to run live timing like F1 and BTCC so remote fans can keep tabs of what's going on ;D

I have the same problem with the XR sign on/scrut/meeting and dance on 1 leg while juggling 3 chainsaws for the Sunday morning. There is just not enough time to get all that done. The 1st newbie meeting can be missed as there is one running after it so that should hopefully work out ok! Hopefully

If you are not there on the Saturday then best thing is to queue your car for scrutineering while you sign on. You don't have to be with the car when it gets scrutineered so if you have a mechanic/helper get them to stay with the car. Remember to leave your helmet and race suit with the car though. You will also need about £1.50 if your helmet needs an MSA sticker (payable later if the money's not on you). Strictly speaking you should go to the newbie briefing before qually so it's the 8am one for XR2 drivers.

Thank god for scruitineering on Saturday lol
Will save a bunch of hassle on Sunday as I gotta go to the driver meeting at 8 also.
Good news on the full grids for the Legends and XR2's, guessing the sunday and also the testing will be jam packed. Good expereince for my first race weekend for sure

Thanks for the info Mike Strong - sounds like a plan! Now all we need to make it really interesting for the first corner is a bit of rain - mmm, looking likely according to met office!

Legends/xr2s 15.15 - 15.35 and 17.20 - 17.40 for testing I hope they change this and keep the classes seperate - or swap one for, say, the minis. If they don't and I see a mixture of 40+ cars due to go out then I may not bother as it'll just be too busy to get any decent running.

My thoughts exactly - the legends always get lumped in with something else, it's pretty irritating as we can never find a free bit of track. Welcome to our world!

I booked testing yesterday in the fear that 32 Fiestas and 30 Legends would want out to test - spoke to Knockhill and apparently there are plenty of spaces left yet.

It'll be pretty busy I think, quite a few newcomers.
