Thanks, I was thinking more of the actual session times for the individual series as I may need to plan an airport pickup around my arrival time at the track in the afternoon. Booked the testing earlier and they didn't have the times to hand, should appear soon enough though!

Be great if we do get a full grids worth of Fiestas / Legends. Classic Sports & Saloons apparently have 50 interested drivers, so that'd be great too.

Yeh Mike I never understand that.. I see from the entry list it is 32 Fiestas out. 22 XR2's, 10 ST's. Absolutely great stuff, considering what some people would have you believe!
It's also nice in the XR2's to see that 17 out of the 22 are in the Newcomers Championship.

If the numbers stay the same surely it will not be long until the Minis and the STs get together to let the 22 XR2s battle it out.

Putting the Minis and STs together would be a great idea, except didn't I hear there's about 20 minis too? So it'd still be much the same kind of numbers together, probably wouldn't make much difference! Fantastic to see so many entries in the current financial climate though, really good to see

Got my entry pack today - No 26 XR2 - anyone help with advice on getting everything done correctly on sun morning? As a newbie, I need to attend a briefing before 'practice' (guess means qualifying at 0845). I think this means I have to go to the 8am newbie Drivers Briefing under Race Control. Unfortunately, as an XR2 racer, I also need to sign on at 0755 and then get car scrutineer'd between 0745-0815. Anyone know how best to achieve these 3 events all at same time? Cheers

Ouch. Best advice is get there as early as you can. You can sign on at Race Control whenever you like (think it opens at 7.30) so if you're ready to get that done straight away it should give you a head start, besides you need to sign on to get the scrutineering paperwork.
Can't recall how the rookie briefing works - it's pretty straightforward but is mandatory so can't be missed or you'll be in strife. Think they run it a few times during the morning?

Cheers If you are testing on the Saturday there is usually scrutineering between 2 and 4. The newbie briefing is directly underneath the room you sign on in (is it race control?) - you won't be the only one so just keep an eye out for others. People usually start queuing to sign on from about 7.30-ish. If you've been scrutineered just head over to scrutineering to get the ticket signed. Then stick the signed bit in a side window so it can be seen when assembling for qualifying. There's also a drivers briefing at the first meeting of the year and all drivers must attend. If you are not sure about anything just ask.

Cheers - will be testing sat so if scrutineering on sat (anyone know for sure?), that will help. There is another newbie drivers briefing at 9am but if you have to attend one before practice (0845 for XR2s) that won't work. The full drivers brief (all to attend) is at 1030am. If no scrutineering on sat, do you think I'll be finished the newbie brief (starts at 8am) in time to get the car scrutineered by 0815? (end of XR2 scrutineer slot). Could be a few of us in this predicament.

I thought the track capacity was 28? Sure that was the number in the past that lead to an XR2 qualifying race? Or has it been increased since my day?!
If it is 28, then would be interested how it wuold work with XR2s and STs as the STs would always qualify so you actually have nearly 20% of the XR2s being knocked out of the main races?
Anyway, given that no-one else seems to have raised this, I'll take it that the grid can be bigger than 28!
Good luck to everyone at the weekend.
