"Whatever was the problem with it at the hairpin"
Although it had a "proper" Hewland transaxle the power from the twin turbo Renault V6 meant that it could strip the teeth from the gears accelerating away from the hairpin up the hill. Massive rear tyres and an engine map that was on or off did not help.
The man in the yellow suit gave us a day to remember at Oulton Park in the 1998 Gold Cup.
