Hey just seeing if anyone is testing on the 14th of March? I am not sure how it works as this will be my first actuall test day rather than track day so am not really sure how it works? Any info would be great. Rich www.killerclownklan.co.uk

I'll be there as well hopefully - all new to me as well! Are cars scrutineered/noise tested? I'm needing MSA sticker for my helmet and was hoping scrutineer might be there rather than wait until a race weekend.

Don't think the scrutineers are there on test days, tbh.

Nah, I'm down under till the end of the month.
Rich, you won't find Scrutineers at the test day. Don't worry about the helmet sticker, it's a 2 second job and nowt to worry about. No noise tests or anything at the test days and your car will be fine.

Any of the ICR/XR2/ST guys testing? My engine hasn't been rebuilt yet but I may go up to watch / say hello / laugh at people spinning off etc.

Mike, plan on being out in the 'new' ST. Cage in and painted etc but still on road suspension, wheels/tyres.
Will be taking it very easy......

On second thoughts - I've now seen the forecast Forecast looks fine - though we are talking about Knockhill here so expect sand storms...

Well I had fun anyway! Cheers for advice from ICR and Stevie from Hawick. Sorry to anyone who had their windscreen filled with a green XR2 going sideways (must try and stop reverting to rally driving lines...) See you at testing on 25th and races on 26th April.

I was out and having fun. Perfect testing conditions.. 1st session: wet/damp 2nd session: dry line but kerbs wet 3dr session: dry all over Got lots of data and set up info completed with new regs for the minis. One XR2 had a huge roll at bottom of Duffes I think it was Sheridan but not 100% Who ever it was it was a BIG accident. According to Knockhill staff he was OK but the car was NOT ok!!

Yes, it was John Sheridan. Rolled five times and got some serious "air time" apparently - car is totally destroyed. Apart from a bit of a stiff neck John was completely unharmed.

Enjoyed my shakedown run very much. Loving the new GPS data logger I treated myself to over winter. Maps the track and has 4 intermediates as well as displaying revs/speed all around the mapped track. Shame for John S. Really nasty accident by all accounts. Shell is absolutely f***ed , but the important thing is John seems to be fine. He was certainly well enough to go back out in his ST!! DC

Ouch hope you are feeling fine John if you read this.
Would of liked to get to this session but it looks like 09 will be a case of race by race (and test) for me.

Sorry to hear about John's mishap in testing - good to hear he's OK. DaveC - do you recommend the data logger then? How much do they cost and where did you get it from (if you don't mind me asking). I was looking at one last year but didn't get around to it... StuartW - have you driven an ST on the Dunlop wets yet? They are amazing... N. www.nicksandersonracing.com
