Well done Lewis, deserved to win the title and he did so in dramatic fashion, I thought he had thrown it away and to win the world championship on the last bend of the last lap in the country of your main rival was superb, cant remember the last time I was out of my seat jumping around the living room shouting at the TV and cuddling everyone, a fantastic motor race. PS felt for DC shame he never got past the first bend on his final GP

Very interesting race to watch - the last couple of laps were very exciting as it could have gone wither way. Not a fan of either of the title contenders so that didn't bother me much, just wanted a good race.
Hope the series is helped by the new rules next year, F1's a bit stale just now.

A totally unbelievable last lap. Even as a Hamilton fan, your heart had to go out to Massa's Dad and brother when they realised that they had started celebrating 20 seconds too early.
Not been a classic season, in the sense that many mistakes have been made, but do feel that Lewis is a worthy winner.
Unless I've been taken in by the media portrayal of both families (Massa's dad taking "extra jobs" to pay for his son's racing), is interesting that both potential championship winners came from financially modest means, but they received tremendous non-financial support instead.

Really thought it had gone for Hamilton, couldn't believe it at the last corner when Glock was slowing!

Poor Massa. I was over the moon when it looked like Hamilton was 6th. I just hope Glock didnt slow on purpose and was really struggling on his tyres. Hamilton didnt deserve the title today, he was outclassed, Vettel did a great job getting past him, its just a shame Glock couldnt make it to the line.

Dave, Don't make me angry! Why did you think Lewis wasn't a worthy champion? Coz he drives a McLaren or the Spanish reason?
Hamilton was a worthy champion, he raced well with a bad car and through bad weather, even a 7 times WDC can get wrong footed by that track! I thought it was funny about Massa's family celebrating too early, the championship is not over until your rival has crossed the line! Both Dad and I threw each other about and lost our voices in the last 2 laps.

I support Ferrari. Get angry if you want Richard but please dont insinuate I am racist as that is very offensive!

I just hope Glock didnt slow on purpose and was really struggling on his tyres. I haven't seen the stats myself, so this is very second hand, but apparently Glock and Trulli (?) were the only 2 cars still on slicks at the end, and their "last lap" times were very similar, suggesting that Glock was going as fast as he could. I had initially thought that he must have spun and rejoined to have lost his 15 second lead over Hamilton, but it seems not.

I drove past McLaren HQ this morning on my way to work and they have put a huge sign on the main entrance with "Congratulations Lewis". Last time McLaren won the championship they did a street parade with the F1 car in Woking so hopefully they'll do something again this year... N. PS Heinicke - you really are a numpty aren't you...

You wouldn't have believed a Hollywood script had they written that race!
I was on the edge of my seat on that last lap and leapt off it when Lewis passed Glock. Unbelievable!
Well done. Lewis... the first of many I hope.
I think he's the best thing to happen to F1 in years. He'll bring F1 and, hopefully, motorsport in general to the public eye. BBC Sports Person of the year perhaps??
Felt sorry for DC being bundled out by the Strictly Come Dancing formation Williams team! Will look forward to his comment on BBC next year.. Yayyyyyy, no more bloody ad breaks!!

Its all part of being a sportsman, saying that Lewis didn't deserve the WDC is a ridiculous thing to say. Massa did well, but I am a Lewis supporter so I feel he deserves all the praise given to him. He is British driving a British car.
Remember Daimler Benz were a company and racing before Ferrari was even formed, before anyone gives me the heritage argument about Ferrari.

howdy, i enjoyed the race on sunday was great to see it. I could not believe the weather. I am not sure how it can be said that hamilton drove a great race in bad weather! two rain showers on race day. Bad weather is constant driving rain, bad visability you know like knockhill or hockenheim or some of the previous F1 races at Spa I felt so sorry for DC esp on his last race. but hey ho, i am sure he will enjoy the bigger adventure of getting married and becoming a dad. I think the true hero was Massa. Yes Hamilton drove a great race, yes fantastic driving to sit back their in 4 / 5 to get the champion ship but realistically, Massa had the most to prove. Ferrari have had their problem ( so too have Mclaren i know FIA = Ferrari international Assistance harr dee harr harr) and since Kimi was not up there Ferrari had the whole thing on Massa. Also the added pressure of possibly winning the drivers championship at your home circuit not far from where you grew up. But yet he was so the sportsman! gracious in defeat. I think next year will be one of the better race seasons in F1 for a long time
