You've seen the rest now buy the best XR 2 No 39 - Kawasaki Green for sale ICR maintained and prepared. Great condition with strong engine. Recently clocked by Smart Timing as fastest in straight line at Knockhill. New welded in cage at start of this season put in by Willie Davidson. Regular Top 10 for me this season including a 5th and 6th overall last time out (14th Sept) including 2 Newcomer Class wins. Managed to keep a certain Mr Sleigh behind me ;D No reason why it can't be at front in right hands. Looking for a reasonable £5k. You can call me on 07904 042875. Stuart W.

Nice one Stuart - hope you take the plunge into the STs - great cars to race! Are you looking at the SMRC or joining us in the national series? Cheers, Nick www.nicksandersonracing.com

Fairly sure it will be SMRC initially and see how things go.
Mr Cowie was threatening to do a full SMRC season himself which was interesting.

He might be doing our final rounds at Donington yet... Well hope it all works out for you - you could always do a couple of our meetings - it's great going to Brands, Snetterton, Donington etc. Latest news is that Knockhill is going to be on our calendar in 2009 although there is talk of getting the Ford Fiestas back on the BTCC package (we hope!) BTCC weekends would be a real attraction Nick, are there any other sites I could put the car up for sale on?

Stuart - put it on my website and you could try e-mailing Ford Racing UK as there is a for sale section on there too. Can you not do a deal with ICR if they're building your ST? Cheers, Nick. www.nicksandersonracing.com

Dave, thanks for the compliment Had myself down more as a 'competent upper midfielder'! Know it's going to be a tough 2009. Quick cars and drivers but putting next year down as a learning experience. 2010 onwards and upwards hopefully. Why am I doing it? Bear in mind, these are my views and everyone is different. Well; 1. I fancied a change after 2 years in XR's. Turn up and drive with ICR works well for me and alternatives were ST's or Caterhams. Didn't fancy the Caterhams - always look a bit flimsy to me beside the Focus etc. For me ST's are enough of a new challenge whilst building on what I have learned in the XR's 2. Move was dependent on selling the XR2 of course 3. Now the controversial one - I think ST's are the way forward. That said, I agree with others that there are at least a few years left in the XR's. As numbers of ST's increase and the costs to buy/build come down I think that is the way things will go. Not that anyone has said anything to me, but I just feel that is the way the 'powers that be' want to head in time, and it came down for me to deciding when to move. The XR's will not be around forever and my personal conclusion was that we are much nearer the end than the start. I suppose someone had to jump into XR's first when there will still doubts... 4. Think ST's will become cheaper and more accessible in time. I suspect the first ones built cost £20k plus. A good competitive one is a lot less now and can see them being little more than £5k dearer than the best XR's soon. I know that will still not fit budgets for some but it shouldn't stop those who want to do it... 5. To run, I think they will be as cheap if not cheaper than the XR's (unless of course I damage it) 6. A more up to date car may attract more interest from sponsors both for the championship and individual cars. Hope this explains but as I say we're all different. Have a good new year! S.
