Also, I'm sure if someone had the right ideas (I've tried to think of some but can't) they could probably use this eco friendly movement at the moment to their advantage.. In view of the weather we've had this year it should be easy to adapt to either wave power or possibly run water turbines ;D Ali

Blair... Yes I read that.. It's good stuff particularly the bit about using bio-ethanol..
Ali - you've got EMEC up there... I'm sure they'd help devise a Legend mounted tidal turbine!!
I'm trying to help a small company get a hydrogen fuelled engine project moving... That's got to be the way to go with all this water around..

i think diesel is the way forward for most with the bio diesel and all that stuff, hydrogen is very good stuff, "just like adding laughing gas to your motor" but there is major safety issues i believe about storage in cars."ticking time bomb". mind you hydrogen is as easy to fit as lpg to a car motor..

Bio fuels are killing the poor. Recent news suggests that this year food sources are being turned over to the manufacture of fuel rather than feeding the poor. Check out vegetable oil prices and the supermarkets reluctance to sell in anything more than 2L bottles. I know of miserable people who used to add a little to their diesel tank to bulk things up. Hydrogen the way to go.

Depends on what form the hydrogen is in... Gaseous or liquid causes storage problems due to their lowish energy density..
Ammonia is a possibility as indeed is methanol of which hydrogen is the main active constituent... It's basically another alcohol .. It's also still used - I think - in the Champcar championship..
