Sad to say "AFD" has passed away. Was up at the Hill yesterday and having to introduce myself then mention what my "handle" was became embarrassing! Plus, if everything works out regards obtaining a race car - I want to know that when someone shouts "Arse!" at me it's for the right (i.e. wrong!) reasons. Mike

I thought it was a good talking point, although you said it was to do with Gary Numan ? Before my time and showing your age there I think!
Was nice to meet you.

I thought it was a good talking point, although you said it was to do with Gary Numan ? Before my time and showing your age there I think! Was nice to meet you. A bit of a musical education for some (probably most) of you. "Are 'Friends' Electric?" was a 1979 No.1 hit for Tubeway Army. Tubeway Army was essentially Gary Numan - who also did "Cars" which you may be more familiar with. My "handle" was a tribute to both Gary (my musical hero) and someone I worked with who is dyslexic - hence Arse 'Friends' Dyslexic? BTW for those youngsters not familiar with Are 'Friends' Electric? - it was used as the backing track for the Sugababes track Freak Lke Me. Today has not been a wasted day as you have learned something!

Hi Mike, RIP AFD then ,thought you might have gone for the Berserker handle as a new name though, yes you guessed it,I'm another old fart who is also a big fan of Gary Numan. Useless info for those who aren't, Berserker was an Album Title from the early 80's. Ken666

So do I, It's 'Suzuka International Racing Course (Suzuka Circuit for short). It was a host of the Formula One Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix, and is one of the oldest and most-famous motorsport race tracks in Japan. It is located in Suzuka City in Mie Prefecture and is owned by Honda Motor Co., Ltd..' ;D ;D

I know Gary Numans stuff, you actually only have to be between 25 and 29 to know his stuff or been brought up with decent music being played to you. I am only 25!
Depressingly, "da kids" will think that the Sugar Babes wrote the riff on "Freak like Me" when it was from "Are friends Electric?"
I love the electronic sounds of the mid 70s to the mid 80s.
How about Kraftwerk? Anyone like them?

Dunno Gary Numan's stuff even if I was a kid when he was around, but Kraftwerk, now there's an electronic legend which I've only recently (past few years anyway) been interested in.

Baz C'mon Baz, you must know "Cars" at least by Gary Numan? I went to see Kraftwerk in Ireland with my fiancee, they were great. I had missed the chance to see them in Glasgow and we needed a wee holiday so we had a few days just outside Dublin.
