Andrew / AWSponsor - I don't know if you'd thought about this or not, but I've just checked back in my 'archives' (!!!) and you are due an extra championship point!
The Scottish XRs have only ever done the Fosters circuit once - back in 1999. The other times we've been there, we did the full international circuit. On that day, the new lap record was set in the race by Ian Forrest with a 1:15.58 on 30/08/99.
I've checked the results from the weekend and you put in the fastest race lap (has to be done in the race), and you did a 1:15.414.
Fact! (unless it's proved otherwise!)
Cheers, Nick.

hehe we were actually trying to work this out. I thought I had got the record because the race programme said the lap record was "to be established" but Charlie said he was sure XR2s had done the fosters circuit before but we couldnt find any info on when.
Because it was a double points race I actually get 2 points, this doesnt mean you get 2 pints though ;D

haha - well done. Keep a print of the details as you may need to tell Chris Edwards (or whoever does the SMRC points now?). The results didn't used to be on the internet back then but I have a copy of the result sheet... Nick.
