As far as I know theres only Demon Tweeks and Grand Prix Racewear, both down south.
I was down last weekend at DT as I was at Oulton, tried on a few suits, helmets etc so I know what to get when I need it.

My helmet, suit and boots are still legal as far as I can determine, but I do need new gloves, underwear and balaclava. I may buy a new race suit as my old one's a bit tight - the belly has sadly got a bit bigger over the last 15 years. Plus, even though it's a top quality Jaybrand (do they still exist?), it's a very retro looking, shiny blue, quilted one. I may go the Demon Tweeks route but I'd prefer "a local shop for local people".

The standard is BS6658 - 85 nowadays, you'll still be able to use them if they are to that standard.
Correct me if I'm wrong but for most club racing the gloves, underwear etc aren't mandatory.

I believe BS6658 - 85 Type B is not permitted. Mine's Type A. As for gloves, underwear and balaclava? Next time I'm on fire I'll remember what you said. Plus a set of long-johns helps keep out the Knockhill wind when you're not in the car

Who are you "Arse 'Friends' Dyslexic"? What did you used to race? Mike Strong - what do you mean you've never heard of me??? Used to race a 1.4 Nova in the Goodyear Road Saloons (or whatever it was called) in 94/95. 1 class win and a nice trophy - which I now use to store odds and ends in (keys, buttons, rubber bands, etc.). Andrew McKenna used to win the 1.4 class all the time - but his car was worth a lot more than mine. Races used to be double-headers with the aggregate time determining the winner - the entrance fee was the same as a single race though. ;D But you only got 1 signature on your license afterwards! Blew up my engine at the first race in 96, decided to re-shell, got bored and never finished it. Disillusioned, I joined the Army, was assigned to their covert section, did several assassinations then left to become a self-employed Hitman. Or am I thinking about Grosse Point Blank?

Ah ha! I remember the name and I remember the Novas! Those were the days when it was road saloons and kitcars and special sports and special saloons each had their own race! Just after the Ron Cumming/Alastair Cunningham boom of the early 90s!
My 1st few races I raced against Andrew McKenna, he just disappeared after that! He was too quick to pass in my original blue fiesta!
You'll probably know me through my Dad, black then red Lancia Stratos or a red Tiga Sports 2000, Bill Carr? I was the wee (figurativly speaking) boy who always followed his Dad everywhere, drivers briefing, around the paddock etc.
Everyone thought I was already racing before I even had a road license because I had been going racing for so long!
Back to suits...Demon Tweeks will be your best bet! Wide range and they do a kind of clubmans selection.
