Just been reading the race reports from Snetterton at the weekend on www.dailysportscar.netThings are looking pretty good for an exciting pair of races in a week or two at KH. The Moslers seem to be dominating things a bit but the TVRs are starting to give them a run for their money. The twists and turns of KH should give them all something to think about... I doubt that the Moslers will be like the Saleens last year and just romp off into the distance. If it can hang together the little (in relative terms - it's a GT car afterall ) Ultima should be pretty nippy round the hill and might even surprise a few - no prizes for guessing who I'll be cheering for The GT cup cars could also upset some of their faster rivals too. Apparently a highly modified Golf GTi will be making its debut in GT racing (!!!) which could be fun too... While there ain't no replacement for displacement. I sure hope they leave some of the tarmac for the rest of the season!

Looks pretty decent from what I've seen so far - one thing is the lack of any really exciting machinery this year - the Moslers are interesting enough but for the main opposition to be the TVR Tuscan R's is a bit of a back step.... But times change and money is scarce etc etc...
Hopefully most of the current grid will make the trip north as I understand that the Golf is the only new addition to the field so far and a couple have dropped off such as the Jag and Exige which were part time entries anyway and not likely to come to the Hill.
I recall Stewart Roden was wanting to take the Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari to that event... anyone heard anything lately as that would be a very welcome addition!

I would expect them to be a lot closer to the Moslers round KH. I get the impression that the Mozlers are not quite like the Saleens we had last year which just seemed to sail over the kerbs and down Duffus like it wasn't there.... Not heard anything but that would certainly be a something worth seeing. Fingers crossed. I have heard that the Master Motorsport Ultima will probably be running their new "trick" engine this weekend which should be quite interesting if they can get the reliability. Because they have such a huge displacement and two tiny 29.7mm restrictors they have come up with an ultra low revving racing engine which generates a mere 400bhp but generates peak torque at around 1500 rpm ( a typical low tune racing Chevy like mine generates ~500 lbft of torque @ 3600 rpm and 450 bhp @ 4800 rpm - a race engine is more like 500 lbft @ 5k and 550-600 bhp @ 6-6.5k). I would guess that they will have > 600 lbft of torque....that's gonna launch them out of the hairpin like a rocket...until the huge torque pulls apart the input shaft, the gears, the diff pinion, the driveshafts, the hubs and turns the gearbox into an expensive steel/magnesium soup that is!
