I see we don't get a visit from the new Clio Championship this year - real shame as I was looking forward to it... word is well over 30 of the new cars have been bought. Wonder what supports will be coming North with the BTCC this year?

I think in the past we've had Formula Fords & Legends. Someone asked Alan Gow on the BTCC site and he said that the supports were decided it was just up to the appropriate people to announce them.

It was me that asked Alan Gow. I fancied driving the XR2 as a BTCC support. ;D Actually that reminds me I meant to ask him about 08,09,10 etc. I'd be surprised if they had decided and booked support races that far in the future. I'm sure they would never allow XR2s as a support race but no harm in reminding them we are available

I agree Andrew, I think they're viewed as old hat yet are one of the most popular classes..

I notice there's no Knockhill planned for the Formula Ford Championship this year... might well get an SMRC class or two out there if they can't find something to come up and flesh the schedule out a bit... 1/2/3 7 & 9 April, Oulton Park Int, F3/GT 4/5 21/22 April, Donington Park, F3/GT 6/7 27-29 April, Brands Hatch GP, A1GP 8/9/10 2/3 June, Snetterton, F3/GT 11/12 14/15 July, Brands Hatch GP, F3/GT 13/14/15 11/12 August, Silverstone, F3/GT 16/17/18 25/26 August, Thruxton, F3/GT 19/20/21 8/9 September, Croft, F3/GT 22/23 22/23 September, Brands Hatch GP, WTCC 24/25 29/30 September, Rockingham, F3/GT

According to Knockhill's website, the support races are Porsches, SEATs, Formula Fords, Caterhams (National, I assume)and Formula BMWs.
Can't say how accurate that is... !!
I assume the FFs are the UK series and not our "new" Kent lot!
Alan Gow says that the tourers should be around 25 this season
