For any of you football heads out there, good luck against Holland tomorrow - I'm away to Leeds but I'll be watching the game down south. I actually got offered a top freebie including a full lunch, free beer and to watch the game from one of the boxes at Hampden but couldn't go as I'm away and my Holland top is still in the wash.. (only joking! ) Have a good one... Nick www.ns-r.co.uk

TL, Take your tranny and listen to it on Radio Scotland. Mind you, if Scotland score, I think you'll know because of the [glow=blue,2,300]HUGE[/glow] Hampden Roar!!! Prediction?: Some great defending and a win for us. 2-1 As for England - with no strikers (Heskey doesn't count) and no Chris Sutton Denmark will win.

Wish I could be more optimisticabout our overall chances in the coming few days... with the Hampden crowd, we could possibly sneak a win but what price a 3 or 4-nil tanking in Amsterdam next week...

Guess we'll see what happens... hopefully it won't be too high a score, anyway.

Excellent result for you - I thought Douglas and Dailly were outstanding. Dailly is hoping that his yellow card will be recinded (apparently it was for kicking the ball away - not the body check) - you'll miss him in the 2nd leg if not... Nick www.ns-r.co.uk

I was well impressed by that  Only saw the first half, as we had to go out looking for new carpets, but what I saw was great - caught the last ten minutes in a tv shop, too, so saw the important bits. Fantastic goal, and good defending for the rest of the game... now fingers crossed for the second leg

Definitely a good start - on to Amsterdam! Hoping for a result there - the team is really starting to come together so by the time Euro 2004 comes around the squad should be gelled nicely.

It's not often I enjoy a Saturday afternoon in Glasgow (being a Partick fan and all), but that was excellent - never heard Hampden quite so loud. Best performance since beating England at Wembley in the bittersweet Euro 2000 second leg play off, IMO. I'm still not expecting to get through yet, but we gave ourselves more of a chance than I expected about 26 hours ago.

I could feel the roar in the SECC from Hampden!!! They were showing the game on screens around the motor show, when the first goal went in I thought a bomb had went off! I'm just keeping my fingers and toes crossed till the end on Wednesday night - IMO the press are getting carried away already...

Well imagine your local Arnold Clark franchises all rolled into one and you've just about got it. There was no official stand from Ford, BMW, Audi, MG Rover, Toyota and probably a few others so AC had a few of these on their stand. Just really normal cars, well the Jag from the Bond movie was there, also TWO Shedden Seat Cupra cars, (one on Knockhill stand and one at entrance). Most impressive stand was Honda, as per usual, all their nice road cars, an NSX, the BTCC 2 seater, and the F1 car hanging up. and before I forget the ladies on the Knockhill stand were most attractive. ;D

Touringcar,
I actually ended up going on the Sunday rather than the Saturday...
Didnt you go to the live show? Derek Pierce was there in a legend as well as the chap from here with the Turnkey legend!
Terry Grant was there with his legend and tvr, Russ Swift and his son Paul were there! And for a nice change Russ had his evo which he very nicely drifted round to start the show!
Funbuggy's were there racing, two subaru impreza group a rally cars, caterhams - at least one from Team Parker racing who Barry Horne races his Porcshe for! A trials guy on his trials bike going about the place! Paul and Terry did a trials race in the caterhams.
All in all it was good to see, the show was crap and I went round it in 5 mins! Absolutely nothing of interest at all apart from the Focus RS which was locked up as someone had stole its gearknob lol, the 3ltr Clio and Gordon Sheddens new car in the show and old car at the entrance!
Dave.

Anyone know how I go about changing my nationality to avoid embarrasment everytime someone finds out I'm Scottish?
