I agree with norm. The multi-disciplinary nature of the Mini series sets it apart from being just another one make series and it would spoil it to drop the rallying because there have been a few problems this year. At the end of the day it's up to the crews as to how much (or if) they should push either in a rally, race track or hillclimb. KF: How does anyone learn how to rally if they never try? That said it couldn't have been more tricky conditions on Saturday. The rain was a very fine drizzle that kept drying up sporadically. It must have been incredibly tough to judge just how hard to push. Evidence of this is the number of experienced cars that went off and bent their car and/or themselves. It must be really really hard for the folk who totalled their cars and hurt themselves last weekend... As an aside. I went to the JCMR in part to reccie the roads they use to see just how crazy it would be to take the Ultima down them in a not-at-all-serious attempt on the JCMR in the future. The answer was that I would be a raving nutjob to take it anywhere near the event...floating away or grounding underwater on the Langton watersplash ...errr, no thanks! What really did it for me was this picture from the Targa Tasmania: www.wreckedexotics.com/newphotos/exotics/ultima_20030521_001.shtml
