Hi all, as some of you have no doubt found out, some e-mail providers (mostly AOL, but I know Nick is having trouble with his work e-mail as well) block the forum account activation codes as "spam", meaning you can't activate your account, and so can't post on the forum. I've had a look round the official support forums for our forum provider just now and have come across the following advice:
I don't use AOL myself, so have no idea how well it will work, but hopefully that might help some of you. If it doesn't, then you will have to use another e-mail provider, such as Hotmail or Yahoo - if you can't access your account even to change your e-mail address, then e-mail me on catriona (at sign) knockhill (full stop) plus (full stop) com and I will change it for you.
Sorry about this, unfortunately there's no way to bypass the account activation, nor to deal with overly-sensitive mail filters, so a workaround is all that can be done.
