here's some info on the legends world finals from the USA firstly our own Steve Reynolds (team Aprilia) had a good days racing coming home in fifth place in the Masters category the best uk driver in the Pro category was Steve hobday (no 17) coming home in fourth place Jon jon higgins race didn't go to well with a droken Half Shaft two laps from the end ( was a hot favourite for the win) (heard the John Mickel had won it but can't see his name anywhere on the legends wedsite? ??) and the semiPro category has our very own Jamie Clarke having a great end of season result coming home in Third place overall.well done jamie(large trophy for him then) there was more uk drivers out there racing as in peter morton(32) and pete smith ( black no 12) etc etc which done very well to so a big WELL DONE to all. just goes to show the talent there is in scottish motorsport , and what i have to race against!!!.

That's great news! I remember vaguely hearing about those finals a few weeks back, and wondering if any of our drivers would enter, but sounds like they've done really well there  Great to see the Scottish drivers doing our series proud out there - definitely goes to show the real talent we get to watch at every meeting

Jon jon higgins race didn't go to well with a droken Half Shaft Celebrations going well Gary, or just a 'droken' spell checker? Seriously though, congratulations to ALL the guys who gave Scottish racing such a boost. We are NOT the weakest link, EVERYONE ELSE, [shadow=red,left,300]Goodbye[/shadow]

Lol! I'm wondering if his "b" key's broken or something, tbh - he sent me his driver profile for the "wed site" earlier! Have to get that sorted and online later today Fully agree with the congratulations to all the Scottish guys - great to see our club drivers can compete so well on a world level Hmm... all our other club series drivers get to test themselves against national level drivers at least once a season - anyone know if it'd be possible to convince the English XR2s to come visiting for an XR2 Festival sometime? Would be good to see if our XR2s can do as well as the Legends people - bet Alan Keith would win, anyway!

They did, despite most of their cars being illegal in Scottish series, they came, they saw, we conquered. When several ICR drivers went to Brands Hatch and Snetterton for the Ford Winter Series last year, we proved that the Scottish XR2's could compete with them. If they want to come back to Knockhill as a visiting series it would be great to put on an end of day combined challenge race for both series with relaxed rules. I say end of the day as I seem to remember even more contact than normal when last we met

On the subject of visiting series, myself and GR had a look at some old club programs the other day and I notice there used to be a lot more visiting series than there are these days - why are there so few nowadays apart from karts and Northern Saloons?
