Here's a piccy of John's ST at Knockhill (photo courtesy of Pete McArthur) - as you can see, it needs work! The AST suspension strut actually snapped and the wheel came off! Nothing that can't be fixed though... Nick.

Had a good look at this yesterday when we were down doing something else. It's not actually as bad as it looks. The front chassis legs look fine and the bonnet doesn't look as if it's been touched. A new wing, strut etc and it will be up and running pretty quickly.
What you can't see though are the passenger side door and rear quarter which incurred some damage from a previous race... Now I wonder who the driver was then ;D
Also went to have a look at Ryan's ST production line.. He's gonna be a very busy boy !!

Yeah what Dick said, it could probably have been a lot worse. That headlight looks re-usable!

Yep...... And I'm sure the driver's seat will clean up and the smell dissipate over time ;D

Had a good look at this yesterday when we were down doing something else. Driving a Corsa with a redtop at the Speed Sunday. The ST certainly looked a bit of a sorry sight.

Yep, Iain said that it's not that bad - the expensive bit will be the suspension - off the top of my head, I think the full set was around £1800 incl. VAT...
Plenty of time to sort before the 2008 championship gets under way.
Nick.

Not quite, im afraid I didnt have such a good hogmany that I celebrated it for a full 28 hours! I still wasn't in bed at 4:16am on new years day though Sound very expensive, thats why im not so keen on STs at the moment. If i had a crash like that I would probably have to miss about a quarter of the season to pay for it

This seems crazy to me, if unfortunate.
You hire a car and it ends up costing, say 2k all in including hiring, damage, race fees etc... for a fiesta ST to race.
He could have went to Thruxton and drove a 997 Porsche Turbo 8 times for that. Or at our little Knockhill, a legends experience 13 times. Or trackdays for a whole year across the country.
This racing lark is expensive stuff, you guys probably already know that... ;D
