Yeah, people come and go but the grid sizes have always been good for the XRs... AWSponsor - I see you didn't come rushing to my door to hire my ST for Andrew at the weekend? !!! I'm already on the warpath for sponsors for our 2008 championship title campaign...we'll hopefully have some announcements to make before Xmas. Nick.

Can you get a sponsor who's brand colour is pink (I think the pillars really suit the car, and you) The whole car could be pink! ;D I've already agreed to put some stickers on the car for my brothers work - but the financial reward does not even cover an entry fee.

Remember guys you can always join our series in an 1800 Si (which are essentially as quick as the STs) or a 1400 Zetec. Both those kind of cars are readily available and are cheaper than an ST and not much more than a top notch XR2.
Or buy one of the 4 (!) STs Ryan has and convert it to a race car yourself for a lot of effort but not much cash.

John ...... There's one flaw in your plan and it is that most of your races tend to take place in the South of Englandshire somewhere and that means lots of extra costs.
Dave..... Eh? He told me it was a freebie ;D

Dick,
Yeah I know, the last time I looked a sleazyjet flight from Scotland to England, if booked a few months in advance, was about £15. Storage will cost roughly the same as Knockhill, race entries are not much more expensive.
The only real difference is transportation to the event which when shared out will mean that a race weekend does not prove to be significantly more than an SMRC meeting.

Is Ryan Stirling making a hobby of collecting salvage ST's? John I've seen a couple of the 1400's for sale, both under 5k so you are quite right in what you say.

It's like a drug!! I just can't stop!! Purchased four and sold one.. and they're all red! Remaining two cars are due to be sold as road going cars. However, all offers welcomed ;D The cage for my own car is due to arrive this week. Intention is that it should be fitted by mid Nov. On another note, there are other ST's available. Please contact me if you're interested in feeding my addiction!

Interesting shot...
Either that Capri has got super low suspension or the STs are a good few inches taller... Strange really... The Fiesta used to be a considered a small car !!
I gather its up for replacement soon anyway. Ford are bringing out something called the Verve..

I can recognise that crumpled bonnet anywhere! ;D
Both drivers had good races and thoroughly enjoyed their weekend. Both cars should be out at snetterton at the weekend on hire too...
Mine is still 'potentially' available for Anglesey on December 2nd although I'm just awaiting someone to return from holiday who is likely to do that weekend. However, John's car is available...

I gather its up for replacement soon anyway. Ford are bringing out something called the Verve.. I imagine as you are more experienced in years than I, that you have been in a Capri - I got in the back seat of one once but I don't know how I didn't do some damage to myself! The road going Fiesta ST is actually designed to sit higher at the back than any other Fiesta on the road - something the engineers must have a very good reason for doing! That Verve name is just the concept car's name from what I have read. Mine is still 'potentially' available for Anglesey on December 2nd although I'm just awaiting someone to return from holiday who is likely to do that weekend. However, John's car is available... You're desperate to get these hired out aren't you! ;D

Blair - haha yeah - the reason being is the 'hire' charges are helping to pay for the 'repair' charges! Nick.
