Hi all,
Well it's also the season finale for our championship this weekend at Brands Hatch. John is testing there today but I won't be going out until qualifying (lack of finance!).
It should be a good meeting at Brands as it's the Formula Ford Festival Meeting so we should get a big attendance.
Good luck to everyone at Knockhill for the final SMRC meeting and let's hope we both get some decent weather!
Cheers for now, Nick.

All the best Nick, no trying to drive through barriers this time. Hoping for a dry weekend too, as I haven't got new tyres..

Hoping for a dry weekend as my wallet will implode if it's wet again.

Do not expect big crowds Nick. The Formula Ford Festival is not what it was. Gone are the days when 240 competitors turned up all hell bent on going for the big prize. Best racing ever in the past and I have been priviliged to have seen most of the superstars including Schumacher run at Brands in FF.
Good luck for your races and good luck to the Scots in the FF Duratec Festival. Good chance of a Scottish winner this year.

The FF races seem to have decent size grids - hopefully there will be a good turnout anyway - the weather is supposed to be decent (if cold) but I think most will be focusing on the Saturday night egg-chasing... Nick.

Will post the report up when we've had time to write it for our sponsors.
I'm quite pleased as I found the 'missing second' from the last time at Brands and was on pole for most of the qualifying session but got pipped by Dan.
I was leading the first race but cars off everywhere so red flag and back to original positions. Made an ar*e of the 2nd start and then spun at Graham Hill bend and rammed into Ben Roper - backwards! Eventually finished 8th overall, 3rd in class.
Second race, charged up the field to finished 3rd overall, 3rd in class as both Ben and I made up a load of places.
So all in all, not a bad 1st season, finishing 3rd in the STs including one DNF and the two rounds we missed at Silverstone...
My ST is now getting most of the panels (!!!) replaced and put back into concourse condition before it goes down to Manc-chester as it's going in the Kempster Ford showroom over the winter.
Cheers, Nick.

Are the panels cheapish or are Kempster helping with that?

Concours and race car in the same sentence Seriously, well done guys on a successful first season. Must have been a pretty steep learning curve for everyone involved. Will anyone in an ST be making a return to KH to join the XR's for some quality racing in '08? Baz

haha - yeah, it needs to be looking back to how it started out as it's going in the Kempster Ford Showroom...they shouldn't have let me loose with it!!! Right, got to get the sponsors report done - I've got John giving me grief!!! Dave - panels aren't that expensive - good job since I need to replace most of them! Nick.

Just tell John that you're an engineer and he's a banker so he hasn't got a real job whereas you have ..... That'll annoy him ;D So are you intending to race next year or saving your pennies for the wedding..
