To remind people of what has probably been said elsewhere Nick & I will be racing at Lydden this weekend. We will not have the opportunity to test before rolling up on the Saturday but the ciruict will let us out for about 15 minutes prior to qualifying to learn the circuit. We then race once on the Saturday and once on the Sunday. I suspect its not a particualry difficult circuit to learn but at only 1 mile long we will all be quite close in terms of times and it will be finding the few tenths which will prove to be the difference. Anyway we will just have to see how it goes.
Wish us luck
John

It may be short but it's a good technical circuit with lots of history.
Anyway - size isn't everything ;D

haha - cheers guys! We're off down to Lydden tonight - we are signing on at 7.15 am on Saturday!!!!! I need to keep the Woking-based podiums going - granted I've only got three on the trot so I'm a bit behind Lewis! Will let you know how we get on next week. Nick.

Hi guys, Will post up report tomorrow - really busy at work so haven't had any time to post reports etc yet! In a nutshell, complete and utter monumental **** up in race 1 - the race did last longer than it should have done but basically ran out of fuel on the last lap (whilst in 3rd in STs). Nil Points which has completely screwed up the season since our 'dropped scores' are already taken up by the missed Silverstone rounds. Not happy is an understatement. Race 2, had to start at the back and went into 'rage mode' - made up 14 places and finished 6th overall, 3rd in ST class - battled lap after lap with Dan Rose but couldn't quite get past - there was a bit of contact trying though... Only slight consolation for the weekend was I won driver of the day for race 2...beauty. Nick.

Oh bugger, what a sh*t. At least it wasn't all bad though, I'll bet that second race was fun!

The race was meant to be 20 mins plus one lap and I think the time keepers just got it wrong but the leader probably past the finish line at about 19 mins 55 seconds. We then did two more laps. So it would not have been easy to judge for them when to put the last lap board out. Strange thing was that Nick and I were fuelled identically so I wonder how much I had left at the end ?

Nick and I were fuelled identically so I wonder how much I had left at the end ? John, those digital gauges are very poor indicators, even from fuel light on on both cars there can be several litres of a differance. Plus, you may just be slightly lighter on the gas than Leadfoot Nick ;D
