An interesting question Mr Herriot.
I would like to see you do that, but I'm not sure what class it would then be in.
As the Caterhams are described as 'Roadsports', I guess that means that they are road going sports cars.
A sports car is defined as "a production vehicle equipped with two or more seats and not necessarily with roof or hood (not a saloon)".
So, because the FF has only one seat (and is actually a single seater) your efforts would be in vain.

Here's me thinking the last time i looked at the tankard that i got at the SMRC Dance for the Best Perpared Single Seater 2002, it was for the effort that i put in to the car all year and not just for the car's looks itself.

I think I can speak for everybody in saying that no-one grudges the best prepared Legend a prize, in fact it is well deserved.
The point is that at the inception of this prize the intention was that it go to a single seater, that being a term which is clearly defined and understood.
If the SMRC didn't think any single seaters worthy, then thats a whole other issue, but the prize should just have not been awarded.
What really needs to happen is the set up of an award specifically to recognise the efforts of Legends racers.

I agree, JE - Gary thoroughly deserves his prize, and I'm glad he got it, but it's badly named!

one thing missing from all your posts at present is the words "Mechanic's Award" so in that the Award is for the Mechanic of the car, and not the car/driver. shame that they are both ME ;D ;D ;D ;D i can't say much more on this at all??? because i am the subject of the posts myself.

Nonsense RocketRacer, you are entitled to an opinion as much as anybody else, Like Elvis said the award was well deserved but wrongly named.

All sounds a bit daft  , why not simply label it 'best prepared car?' If push came to shove, why not seperate awards for tin tops and the single seaters? Regardless, they did choose a worthy winner :champion::up:
