I still can't qualify for toffee, but at least the race pace is getting there, even though Silverstone is my least favourite circuit so far .... I don't think either Colin or I have embarassed ourselves so far, but it is still a learning year after all!! We have definitely sorted out our basic setup now, so once we learn a few more tracks, I'm sure that we can be truly competitive next year.
Now all we need is a major sponsor to help fund a whole season, 'cos its been bl**dy expensive so far
Knockhill next year would be great, but the feedback from those within the MG Car Club is that as well as being a very long haul for them , they were promised a great deal that wasn't actually delivered. I won't point the finger at any person or organisation, but I'm sure that most of you can guess who failed to deliver on their promises ....
However, Colin and I are both actively campaining to try and have this happen as it would be great for us to do our local circuit. As well as providing us with a little local advantage it would mean one round without us having to make a long trip to attend.
Errm - I actually went hard right rather than straight on, but slicks are a bit of a challenge when they're cold and you've just gone through a stream of water at the chicane. Can't deny that it was still a novice mistake though
