I don't think Motors TV have been running repeats of Race and Rally UK though, which is the pertinent point. There haven't been any season reviews on R&RUK as yet; there was a compilation programme that was put together for the first week in January; this was because a 'normal' programme would have been put together during the Christmas period.

That's not the point I was making Ian..
By repeats I mean particularly repeats of Ozzie V8s and others... Seems strange to me they couldn't have sacrificed one of those repeats to put the SMRC R&R UK on..

But you're missing the point that R&RUK is a weekly show - that is what AMGTV are contracted to produce for Motors TV. The final SMRC meeting of 2007 is due for broadcast in the next couple of weeks as you know, and it will be edited and voiced in accordance with that normal weekly schedule between now and then! The long and short of it is that Motors cannot show a programme that has not yet been made.
I'll again make the point that everything has been broadcast just about chronologically (with the exception of the final Scottish Mini programme, which went out ahead of time).

I can kind of see things from both perspectives here - though in the end as with everything else in life it comes down to finance I'd imagine... AMG have to film (and therefore get paid for) quite a few different events, series and rallies to stay in the black and pay their people, that creates a bit of a backlog on the programmes when they're only shown at one a week. It's built up during the season and we've reached the point where by the time we get to the end of the season the last rounds are stuck in the queue.
It's not ideal but I don't really see that there's much of an alternative. I'm just glad what we do is on the telly for keepsake purposes.

Lance, 8th round will be on the 8th of Feb and the 9th round will be on the 22nd of Feb if they split them between the last two SMRC programmes as per the AMG website. www.amgtv.co.uk/TV%20Schedules.htm

Just to let everyone know: The first program this week will contain Legends pt1, Classics and Xrs- whilst part 2 is on the 22nd and contains legends pt2, Sports and Saloons, and Formula Fords. Season review DVDs will be available shortly after that- and program copies will be on the AMG website. Also Mini Cooper Season review DVDs are now available on the AMG site too

Looking forward to it. Hope my antics weren't caught. Hope they were - interested to see what happened. As for me the show on Friday may show me getting assaulted by Murray right in front of the camera at McIntyre in the first race of the day.

Some good video there.. Pity though there wasn't an external shot of the start of the first XR2 race when Scott Fraser decided to change his race tactics from "taking it easy" to trying to push Andrew off before the top of Duffus..... Pra*

It was interesting to see my incident again from that viewpoint. I think I tried all the right things to prevent anything happening though.

Carol Brown showed great car control in one of her races, loosing it under braking for the hairpin , she has had some storming drives... Charlie cope blew everyone away in the first XR2 race, him and GW will be the men to beat next year.......... ;D

Ian Fraser didn't come out of that looking very good - what need is there to react like that to an innocent accident? Unless you deliberately spun to take him out of course!

Mike, I don't have the skills to spin delibrately...yet. I didn't realise that was his reaction at the time until i saw the TV footage. Shit happens, deal with it though!

having watched the re-run today all I can say is that Ian Fraser has made a grade A arse of himself and now he did it on TV, his glove throwing was good almost hitting the observer in the marshals post bet that won him a few brownie points. it is racing, sometimes you are the innocent one in other folks accidents, get on with it.
agree Carol Brown drove very well
