No Knockhill on the British F3/GT Calendar for 2006. Seems that while the organisers were so busy putting in places like Pau, Magny Cours and the moon, (FIVE International rounds no less) they forgot that these are supposed to be British Series. Apparently it came down to Mondello Park or Knockhill for the last round and they preferred giving it to the Irish kart track.

Shame about F3 and the supports but at least you won't get bored watching the GTs go round and round for an hour or two... Nick www.ns-r.co.uk

Nick www.ns-r.co.ukOther way round for me - I love the GTs F3 I'm fairly indifferent to as it's a bit dull in all honesty but the support package with the F3/GTs is always pretty good plus it sometimes gave SMRC series a chance to run in front of a crowd.

Saw this news today.... great shame. It's some feeling standing a few feet from the track as the F3s take off through the chicane at around 90mph with total commitment!! Mind you, even more fun when they don't quite make it...
Will miss that. Hope they come back in 2007.

..we just need the BTCC to get their dates sorted so that the SMRC can try to get away rounds confirmed - as you know, the BTCC dates take precedence for all the UK circuits (that they go to)... Nick www.ns-r.co.uk

Aw - no fair!! I enjoyed the F3 and GT races this year, even if they were really noisy and gave me a headache! Didn't particularly enjoy trying to push two of the Porsches out of the mud though Next time (maybe 2007??) they can just flipping well stay there!! Lis

Nick www.ns-r.co.ukWhich in turn waits on F1 and to an extent WRC.. Regards the F3, I did read that perhaps Mondello / Knockhill may alternate every other year.

David Only two bars each, though, David - for all the effort Karen and I put in I'd have expected more - couple of big boxes of Celebrations at least!! ;D But then we'd only have had to share them with you lot...
