Start of the season I bought a season ticket on the basis that we (as in season ticket holders) were GUARANTEED parking spaces within the circuit!
apparently now, Knockhill DO NOT have a park n' ride system running for either the Superbikes this weekend, or BTCC on 8th August. All parking will be on circuit.
It's a bit annoying that they decide to change their minds on policies mid-season. BSB this weekend will be packed I'd imagine, I don't fancy my chances of getting into a good space like I'd be able to.
They do state there is an "overspill" car park if required - don't know where this is, but surely if I put up my wee yellow priority sticker their duly bound to let me in the circuit?

That is unbelieveable... why do they bother giving us priority parking stickers if they aren't worth the paper (or plastic) they're printed on? Not impressed at all... it's only the fact that KF and I go to every club meeting as well as the big ones that actually makes the season ticket worth buying at all, and if we don't even get priority on the parking that makes it a lot less worthwhile. Suppose now we'll have to get up at 6am on the BTCC weekend to try and not end up ten miles from the track...

No buses = more revenue for them from event. Which you can agree with from a business point of view.
All I am for doing is pleading ignorance to their new "policy", showing my yellow circle in windscreen, and I also think I'll just take along season ticket letter that says I shall get into circuit no problem..

Hmmm. I'm not happy either.
Hopefully the Superbikes (which I couldn't care less about) will allow KH to come up with a scheme that doesn't shaft the season ticket holders. Like you guys part of the reason I get the season ticket is to be sure of a parking space at the big meetings.
Maybe they'll cordon off a chunk of the hill specially for the season ticket holders...close to the hairpin perhaps? Snag with that is they'd have to guess the numbers of holders that were going to turn up (my family has 2 car passes between us but we'll probably just go in the one car to save hassle - others will be similar). Suppose they could guarantee slots till 10am then start filling in the gaps which would be reasonable.

Well, in the end we got in the circuit although we didn't get there till 12, so were parked along the road in and out Knockhill.
We came the Forth Bridge way (never been that way before..) and spotted a few buses. I believe there was a "public" car park down that side....I presume that is where the normal park n' ride part is on that side of the circuit.
But still glad I got in circuit at that time of the day, and well the days rain certainly entertained us. Don't really want to be holding an umbrella again in a thunder n lightning storm!
Most importantly was some good racing!!

Apparently the Powmill field is wanting £20,000 for its use, so its easy to see why Knockhill aren't using that field! But also at the BTCC, there was supposed to be 10 buses, but only 3 or so turned up. Not really Knockhill's fault. Maybe Knockhill should invest in a campsite somewhere so that there is less congestion. I'm sure many travellers from other parts would use it to save on hotel costs.

20k, sounds a lot, but not much when tickets are going at £20 a time for Knockhill...
You can see how they want most people in the circuit, in 2002 they struggled to break even on the BTCC event, surely this year they'd make a small profit on it.
There must be loads of land around Knockhill they can use for parking, maybe they should buy that marsh at hairpin and get builders to dump their rubble etc in there free of charge (don't know the laws on that though....).
