It was a fun meeting until the dust put paid to things Anyone know how many of the finals had we still left to run??? There's wasn't much of a programme in the programme. Didn't seem to be as many of the super quick cars this year but those that were there put on quite a show! Enjoyed most of the racing apart from the stock mini's which seemed to drone a lot but not actually get much over taking. Spotted an interesting car in the paddock on Sunday (apart from all the crazy fast rally cross machines that is!). Parked next to the red IF motorsport Radical SR3 was a brand new Radical SR4 fitted with a very funky looking set of Hoosier drag slicks. I guess that must have been running at the sprint last weekend(?). That would have been fun to watch. Wonder if we'll see an SR4 on track at some point. Looks like an interesting upgrade over the SR3...

Hi Dave, I couldn't make KH on Sunday but I was there on Saturday and would have thought that the rain would have dampened down the track enough to stop the dust. Did you see how Dagman went? I spotted an even more interesting car on Sun 23rd May, The Knockhill 2 Seater 'single seater'. £30 for 3 laps sitting behind a qualified race driver at a claimed top speed of around 160 - 180mph. Sounds fun.

Hey Charlie, Was good to see you at the weekend. I had a good time on Sat, it was well wet to start with but dried out a fair bit eventually. Got the fiesta parked down in Paddock 2 as im back out on Friday again so it would have been a pain to tow it down to tow it back up again. Thought id ask Ian if it could sit over in the official XR scrappy but it was a bit busy. Will be its last time out on Friday, selling it after that! Dave.

I wouldn't call it a washout! Quite the opposite... we had to keep watering the track (the gravel bit!) to keep the dust down but later on the water bowser broke and we couldn't get hold of another one. We had held the A Final for the Supercars which was quite scary from my post (the last one on the gravel) as after the leader went through we couldn't see the other cars! One had spun right in front of us and fortunately didn't knock us off our perch! We also got pebbledashed each lap... They stopped the meeting after that race (or was there one more?) because the drivers couldn't see and we couldn't see from post to post. I think there were about 3 or 4 finals still to go. Must be the first time we were praying for rain at Knockhill!

Dave, I didn't think you meant you were marshalling on Sunday, I thought you were going for glory in your XR2, 85 bhp versus 500bhp, no problem! Charlie. (Edited due to not knowing my Dave's from David's)

No such thing as too many Dave's. Maybe everyone else should be called "Dave" too. It was pretty scary for the A-final. One of the guys spun and was running 1/2 a lap down and it was obvious he couldn't see a lot... Maybe KH should fit sprinklers on the rallycross track...and extra drainage on the rest of the circuit! That 2 seater "single seater" sounds quite funky. Anything that can make it to 160 mph at KH is going somewhat. Any idea what it was based on? XR2-T Dave: What are you going to do for your next project? Please don't say you are getting all sensible in your old age.... Took my Ultima for the first time. Parked up in the lower hairpin carpark. Did a bit of rallycross over the potholes to get in but managed to not beach it or even ground it momentarily which was impressive. Seemed to cause a bit of a stir during the lunchbreak had about 10-15 folk crowded round it at one point! I'm not really cut out to be that much of an attention seeker ...but people seemed to like it though which was nice.

Getting a MR2 Turbo I hope Dave as a weekend / trackcar. Save me towing cars about the place etc...
To explain me at the weekend I went to a SIDC trackday with the red Fiesta XR2 on Saturday morning. Never went on Sunday cause I slept in...
Dave.

Everyone just be glad that it's just my middle name that's David rather than being my first name or further confusion would no doubt abound!

Oh yeah, and I have to say that I'm very tempted at the sound of that single seater ;D
