BTCC announces date change to 2004 schedule
The organisers of the Green Flag MSA British Touring Car Championship announced today a change to the 2004 schedule. The rounds that were scheduled to be held at Croft on 11th July have now been moved to 25th July. As a result, the Knockhill rounds, previously scheduled for the 25th July, will now take place on 8th August.
This revision to the previously publicised 2004 calendar follows the announcement of the change of date for the British Grand Prix. The BTCC organisers reiterated that the non-championship race in support of the British Grand Prix, on the revised date of 11th July, will continue as scheduled.
All other rounds of the 2004 calendar remain as previously announced.

The Green Flag MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) is the UK's premier four-wheel racing championship. Touring cars are high-powered production 'showroom look-alikes'. The series can be traced back to the late 1950s allowing competition for cars that bear a close resemblance to those on sale to the public.
The BTCC is promoted and managed by British Motorsport Promoters Limited (BMP). BMP was established in 1999 and is an organisation that comprises all the major race circuits in the UK. Its primary focus is to ensure that motorsport is promoted and supported nationwide.
In 2004, the championship will feature 30 races, spread over 10 weekends at nine leading circuits in the UK and Ireland.
BTCC's 2003 season saw a 20 race championship with teams representing four major car manufacturers: Honda, MG, Proton and Vauxhall.
