Good luck to all UK drivers in this weekend's World Championship meeting at Sears Point near San Francisco in USA.
Derek Pierce, Colin Noble, Jamie Clark, John Higgins, James Wantling, Oli Poyser, Peter Morton, Simon Belcher, Ross Mickel (?), Steve Hobday, Simeon Maurer and co - sorry if I've missed anyone - will all be going for one of the three titles up for grabs - Semi Pro (first year drivers), Pro (experience pilots under 40) and Master (experienced over forties). I think we could have a winner in each class this year (mind you I thought that last season!!)

Forgot about the motor show! :blackeye: Looks like me and KF won't make it, then... we've got both this weekend and next filled up with various online races, plus chances are high that we'll get the keys to a new flat on Friday, in which case we'll be busy getting ready to move as well...doh! :S

Found website for this weekends Legends World series Racing in America. www.searspoint.com They say you can sign up to watch from various web cams throughout circuit. Whether it works is another point I have difficulty understanding American. They say the Legends Racing this weekend is in 4 categories, Semi Pro, Pro, and Masters Am I missing something here? or are they??

Lol, and it also says there there'll be "competitors from as far as Finland, Scotland and Great Britain" - gotta love the Americans and their sense of geography, cos Scotland was still a part of Great Britain the last time I checked

They say the Legends Racing this weekend is in 4 categories, Semi Pro, Pro, and Masters Am I missing something here? or are they?? I think the fourth category is the Thunder Roadsters - the bike powered single seaters from the same company. They don't run over here. Now news from over there as of Saturday PM UK time - they should be onto the b finals about now!

Latest news from Gerard at scotlegends.co.uk, indicates incredible results for the scots :-
"Derek Pierce WINS Semi-Pro World Title race.
In the Pro race, Ross Mickel takes 2nd place and Jamie Clarke takes 4th place (with reigning UK National Champion Jonjon Higgins winning).
In the Masters (Old Boys) race, Colin Noble takes 2nd place and Jim Clarke takes either 4th or 5th place.
A truly brilliant performance from the small Scots team and many congratulations to all. "
bear in mind most of these races had 50 or more entrants !!!!! though it was wet wich might have helped,
still amazing result , congrats to the boys ;D
cheers
